They were still moving in at the pet store and it's not really organized yet, so it's kind of hard to find stuff but I'll go there anyway and see what they say. They groom dogs so maybe they can use it. (They were grooming one named Obama when I was there!)

DR FRED - Why would you ever trust an informant?   If someone told you that you would get a minimum of 20 years in prison unless you cooperated and testified and got people indicted or convicted, wouldn't you be tempted to lie?  I'm convinced that it happens every day.

One of the gals from today has made an Adriana Hofstetter page on Facebook.  I just send out a bunch of "like" invitations - so "like" the page and then post something fun on the wall!

I agree Cilla.  I'm sure this is very much on your mind after your last trial.

So of course, now that I've planned a trip to see Van Dyke Parks in Ohio in 3 weeks and bought tickets, he writes me to say that he's coming to GA in October, hoping to make it easier for me to see him. Oh well, I'll drag a different gang to see him there. That's where I went to college so I still have a lot of friends there.

My friend Susan will be flying form LA to Ohio for this, and she wants to see Dayton, since Randy Newman wrote a song about it. Any must-sees there?

I don't think I have ever had a Dutch letter.  If they are filled with almond paste, I want one!!!

It was quite the disappointment today, they had almond patties (also very good) but no letters.  They only do letters by special order or at the holidays.  I should have mentioned that Labor Day is coming up and it is a holiday ;)

. Each Dutch Letter is an "S" shaped puff pastry about eight inches tall, with moist almond paste filling, baked to golden perfection and sprinkled with a touch of sugar. A delightful gift for any occasion.

At our local Sublime Doughnuts, they do a "birthday box" where they spell out HAPPY BIRTHDAY in doughnuts if you buy a (baker's) dozen to take to the office (or share with yourself!).

RIP Bonnie Blue Butler:

http://www.cnn.com/2010/SHOWBIZ/Movies/09/02/obit.conlon/index.html?iref=NS1

The GWTW museum is down the street form my old house in Marietta, and she came to the museum several times; everyone said she was very sweet.

That's sad.

Cammie was a charming lady.  I sat next to her a couple of times at Ray Courts' HCS in Burbank.

Oh, not so much from that trial.  It's the federal system, nothing new.  They don't do a lot of things like taking fingerprints or trying to establish things with physical evidence, they just get cooperators to snitch and as soon as they have a couple who say similar things about someone, they indict.   There are mandatory minimum sentences and you can't get anything less unless you cooperate and the prosecutor files a motion for substantial assistance.  The people who get the longest sentences are the people who don't know anything.  Welcome to America.

The people who get the longest sentences are the people who don't know anything.

Not only "know nothing" but too lacking in guile to be "creative".

Thanks, DR Jose! Maybe they'll punch out the skank ho porn film maker Danielle; she's a mess.

Yes, DR Elmore, Glendower is in Lebanon.  Also the Golden Lamb, but they're in the throes of a major remodeling project.
