I went to summer camp for eight weeks when I was ten (?).  I was with my best friend and my older brother & sister to watch out for us.  I was very homesick at times yet it stands out as one of my best summers and favorite camp experience.

I can't quite figure out this family. The mom is tame and friendly, but the kittens hiss and spit. Maybe she was a tame cat that had kittens in someone's yard? And the kittens didn't have much human exposure? I don't know. They are tiny, but they spit! Especially the little gray tortie and the orange one with white paws.

Good luck Dr's Laura & Sandra!!!

At least the mother is tame or you would really have a problem.  Sounds like the kittens haven't had exposure to people, or had the wrong kind.

They are young enough to turn. I just like it when I don't have to work at it because I am lazy.

You are a lot of things, but lazy is not one of them!

Oh...

And I'd like to thank CBS for posting the full episode of last night's "The Amazing Race" on their website "early" last night.  I was able to watch the 20 minutes that got cut off from my DVR due to the football game going over before going to bed.

Topic of the Day:  does going away to college count?  If it does, then three school years (but home for summers) at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington.  Otherwise, I went on a seven-day vacation to NYC in 1995 with a local theater group and a nine-day vacation with my sister and niece to London in December 2001.  In 1994 or so, my sister, my niece, a friend of my niece's and I all drove down to California to visit our aunt, the nun.  We were there for a couple of days short of two weeks, I think.  We went to Disneyland but not Knott's Berry Farm.  California Adventures didn't exist, yet.

When I mentioned I was thinking of THE THIRTEENTH TALE for my book discussion group pick DR td said he preferred THE HISTORIAN.  He neglected to mention the book is 631 pages!  I discovered this when I picked it up from the "hold for Jane" section of the library.  It would have to be the best book in the world to get some of my members to finish reading it. ;D  Actually I don't have time to read it right now.  I think I will return it & place it back into my request page.  I can then put a hold on my request until I know I have time to read it.

And now, it's time for me to leave work, go home and clean up some cat vomit on the floor at the foot of my bed.  I just wasn't in the mood to clean it up at 4:02 am this morning, when I was woken up by the noise. :P

Why, that's the part of the cream-filled doughnut that you have in your hand after you have eaten the rest.

It is pouring down rain  here - it was only sprinkling until I locked my car and began walking to the front door... 30 seconds from arriving  inside  dry...

I would have been really annoyed if I hadn't suddenly thought how happy Laura would have been  had the same thing happened to her
