Elmore you MUST take a picture of the oaf before he leaves.  I have been most curious as to what he looks like.  (Clown feet?).  :)

He's a rather handsome young man. Several of my friends have gone "hubba hubba" when they've seen him. I can't think of any celebrity he resembles, but he has this for his Facebook avatar:

The Oaf was one noisy cuss around 1:30 this morning so I guess he means to go out with a bang: lots of walking about, primarily, and little in the way of crashes and thumps. I will be extremely happy when he's out of the building.

This is a reminder for DR JANE (and anybody else who watches this show).

The premiere of HUMAN TARGET is on tonight at 8pm.

Thanks for the reminder!  I'm pretty sure that I set it to record. :)

I have it on good authority that the lovely Miss Tina Paradiso will be joining our Merrie Troupe probably by next week.  :)

Good!

I told the super that I had learned I wasn't responsible for any eviction. His response: "why should you care? Good riddance!"

I love him.

My BK question of the day:

What movie(s) have you always wanted to see, but have never been able to locate or catch on TV.

For me it would be the 1959 film noir TOKYO AFTER DARK starring Richard Long and Michi Kobi. It was released by Paramount, so you would think it would not be so obscure...but I have never even been able to find even a grey market print of the thing!

Same with the 20th Century Fox film HIGH POWERED RIFLE starring Allison Hayes. If I am recollecting correctly this early in the morning, it is the only Allison Hayes film I have not yet seen.

Interesting question that I've been pondering (off & on) today.

Actually, thanks to the advent of home video, I don't think that there's any vintage movie out that that I'd like to see that I haven't seen.

And a few hours ago, also through the wonders of Twitter - as well as a couple of texts - I was treated to lunch at an opening-soon restaurant in the East Village.  Mozzarella Crostini with Bottarga; Pasta and Greens in Broth; Braised Beef Short Ribs.  -And the pasta and accompanying escarole salad were "anointed" with the chef's own olive oil - her family owns an olive grove in Puglia.  It had just been pressed last week. WOW!!!

I Think That Joe Raposo was A Very Talented Composer Of Songs.

When You Look At His Contributions To Frank Sinatra's Canon and Sesame Street and Kermit and Company,I think You'll Agree

However,His Unproduced Show on Broadway Of A WONDERFUL LIFE baffles
Me...Book Problems? I don't Know.

All I know is that the Title Song along with IN A STATE haunt me endlessly.

Any Opinions Out There?

I was at the opening night of his big flop show, RAGGEDY ANN. What the hell?

I honestly don't think IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE was meant for a Broadway run, but for regional Christmas productions. I could be wrong.

Speaking of Christmas, I ordered today my friend Joe Cassidy's Christmas album.

I sat through "Raggedy Ann" up in Albany when it had its first production. They were then taking it to the Soviet Union on a cultural exchange. I've got some Russian blood in me (from my grandfather Woloskiewitsch's side). And my only thought was, "What did the Russians ever do to us? Is this some new form of Cold War weapon?"

I've only seen it once and enjoyed it.  But there hasn't been a cast recording of the score...that I know of.

Maybe someone should put together a studio cast and record it. ;)
