UNOFFICIAL T.O.D.:

I think my first e-mail purchase was either an autographed photo or possibly a Broadway Playbill.  It was so much more fun when ebay was still new and mostly undiscovered.

I wish I had more photos of me as a kid.  My mother has them and won't let me take them.
I was in the same boat as you. My mother held them hostage until this year. But I'm not interested in having them at this point. Maybe I'll get around to looking at them in a few years.

I know that my mother lied to me my entire life.  It is obvious that I was adopted.  There are photos and 8mm movies of every breath my sister took from birth.  The first picture anyone has ever found of me was the one of me as The Littlest Angel, when I was five.  Hell, even I remember that.

All I know is that I have always had an unnatural fear of gypsies.  Coincidence?  I don't think so.

There is a lot of snow in Manhattan. I'm glad we got home before the brunt of the storm. We may have a foot or more by the time it's over.

How do you see the entire amazon order history - I'd be interested to know what my first purchase was.

Log in to your account.  Under Orders, go to View Open Orders.

If you have no Open Orders, it will tell you  "No Orders Found."

Above that phrase is a box that says Show: Select different orders to view. [GO]

Select whatever year you want to look at, and hit the GO button.

ANd it looks like the first thing I ever ordered from Amazon was on Aug 3, 1999, a book called Lighthouse Horrors.

Here is a picture of the ring that Richard gave me for Christmas:

Oh my !  That is gorgeous!!!  Good job Richard!!

We picked the ring out together right before Thanksgiving.  Finding just the right red was a challenge.  Some of them are too pink and some are too brown.  We learned that the synthetic rubies are more the color I wanted, so this stone is manufactured.

well it is very lovely -  may you wear it for many, many  years in good health!!

My mother thought that the band ruined the show, lol.  That's exactly why I told her not to spend her money on tickets

I think I'd like that kind of show better in person than on TV.  Seems to me they cut away from the skaters just as they're about to do something interesting.

And they didn't show the skater who skates with hula hoops and a human sized slinky.  She was fabulous

Oh she has them all in books and my dad has unhooked his scanner from his computer etc.  It's really more trouble than it's worth.  Besides, they have my time pretty much planned the whole time I'm there.  They say they don't, but they save up a bunch of chores that they need to have done.  I really don't mind helping.  It's a big part of the reason I stayed as long as I did, but it leaves little time for things like scanning photos.   Besides, I don't think she'd let me take them out of the albums

Finally get to have a holiday family gathering in our own home tomorrow.  My Mother is coming over in the afternoon to open stockings (Santa was just here to fill them!) and then DN Lauren, her boyfriend, and her Mom are coming for dinner.  Cranberry pork roast in the crockpot, cheesy potatoes, green beans.

Stay safe vibes for all in the path of the big storm!

Don't exactly remember my first online purchase, though I do remember coming to eBay wondering if I would find any FF items, and was amazed (even back in those early days) how many there were.  It was TWICE as amazing once I realized I could check "search title and description," and in fact I think that's how I scored one of my first great wins, the very rare original pressbook for Come and Get It.
