DR Elmore, maybe your dream is telling you to do Call Me, Mister or This Is the Army at Goodspeed. Or maybe just to date a platoon.

DR John G - Didn't you mean to place the word "date" in "quotes"? ;)

I got a hilarious book this Christmas called "Free Brown 'Eggs' " and it's all about misusing quote marks on signs and in programs. You know, things like "Jesus" Saves or Now "Hiring." So, now I'm scared to use quotes on anything.

One more episode of Mrs Gaskell's WIVES & DAUGHTERS to go! It's quite good although I think I prefer the doom and gloom of NORTH AND SOUTH and the romance of CRANFORD more.

As much as I enjoyed WIVES & DAUGHTERS it was my least favorite.  Funny when I think of NORTH AND SOUTH I think how very romantic it is.

I do like the HGTV dream home (watching it again) it sleeps 14!  We could have an HHW getaway in VT

Did you see a house in Roseburg, Oregon?  Our neighbor is a realtor and he said one of his houses was on the show last night.

No...I think there was a show in Oregon last night, not sure if I watched it, lol.   I've seen so many house hunters, I may have seen it.  Last night was all reruns, so I may have watched something else

How About WACKY DUST?

Manattan Transfer or Ella Fitzgerald?

I've never heard Ella's version...but I don't doubt that it's very good.  TMT's version is a lot of fun. :D

I thought about ordering that book, too, MR BK.  But then I got distracted and ordered two DARK SHADOWS books instead.

Louis Edmunds biography and Barnabas & Co - both by the same gentleman.

LOL-I'm sure I would have trouble remembering if I watched half the episodes you did.

Not really, but it's hard to tell, do you have any of the inside?

Not the Grayson Hall book?

Here's the dream home

Back in 1998, when I was consulting for Follett Software, they sent me to that part of Vermont to do a teacher workshop.  The session was on a Monday, but it was cheaper for me to fly on Saturday, so I had a rental car and all day Sunday to explore.  I toured Ben & Jerry's, drove to the Trapp Family Lodge, and enjoyed the scenery.  I also had some time in Burlington before my flight home on Tuesday - it's a beautiful city.

I'd love to see the area. I have never been to Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts or Rhode Island.  I've been wanting to take a trip and see all of them at once

Here is a link to all the photos. http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/5371-Melqua-Rd-Roseburg-OR-97471/61076035_zpid/

He has three homes for sale in Roseburg so I'm guessing on this.

That house does look inviting.  But I'd rather it was in NY on the Hudson.

Love the setting and certain elements of the house, but the overall design seems bulky. And what's with that big block of no windows on the second story when the view is that gorgeous. If it's a safe room or something, it should be on the other side.

I did my field trip.  It's been raining steadily for about four hours now.  I went and saw the address I was looking for - it's now an apartment building, where once it was something completely different.  It's perfect, actually, and then when I got home I did a little research and basically I hit pay dirt - the real-life place has an incredible history and it's going to give me a lot of detail-oriented stuff that is the kind of thing one prays for.  What a luck out.  In my list of possible places and addresses it was the last one I found.  I really was going to just make up a place and set it where there is now a strip mall, but this is so much better.  Plus, it will give me a photo for the cover of the book :)
