I had a student teacher in Drama in high school who had been, briefly (one episode), a "regular" on Lawrence Welk with her singing partner.  They did "You've Got Possibilities" and made the mistake of ruffling Mr. Welk's hair and attempting to untie his tie during the bit.  I'm not sure if it ever aired, but the teacher (whose name I have forgotten) said they were quickly shown the door.  :)

DR JOSE what's your favorite recording of OKLAHOMA! ?

Mine's the 1980 revival with Christine Andreas.

BK, maybe you can get Lauren Bacall to sing "Alive".

How about Linda Lavin singing "You've Got Possibilities"? :)

She's in FOLLIES with Ron Raines and Danny Burstein.

Mine, too, DR Elmore!  Didn't we have fun seeing it together in 1980?

While I ate my lunch I read Milton Cross' synopsis of Daughter of the Regiment, in preparation for tonight's dress rehearsal.  Am I remembering correctly that this was one of Beverly Sills' early triumphs?

I got another couple hours of sleep, so that was nice.  Not quite enough, but it will do.

Our MD, Shelly Markham e-mailed me about a potential guest star we might be able to get and the idea really tickled me so I told him to try.

Well, I didn't really understand the gmail thing last night about grouping by conversation, but bumped into it this morning.  Rob said, "Yeah, that's one of the annoying things about gmail," and was delighted when I showed him how to change the settings to remove it.  Thanks, DR JMK!

I guess some people find it annoying, but others love it.

From Vixmom:

I have a terrible habit of writing down phone numbers without writing down the name of the person to whom it belongs - i am always finding scraps of paper with unidentified phone numbers written on them

I include the names but unless I write down part of the conversation I haven't a clew who the person is.  This of course is only with folks I have just met.  I'm not that senile yet. ;)

We are having a house full of company again today....hopefully they won't stay ALL DAY!

Perhaps a large bowl of Brussels Sprouts Casserole would prompt timely departures.

I think a floop smoothie would work better.

However DR DtM it is not a laptop, but an all in one desktop system.

Yes, now that I take a closer look, I see.  I like the monitor!

Actually, up until last year we didn't. But now the unit is quite old, so we had it looked at.

Very happy to get rid of the wireless mouse which ATE up batteries like crazy.

I used to have a wireless mouse, too.  I also got rid of it in favor of a wired mouse.  My niece has a wireless with built-in rechargeable batteries that you just put on a docking station each night to recharge.
