Every once in a while, if I want a little mood enhancer, I go over to You Tube and watch the original Susan Boyle performance on BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT.  Today, while I was listening, I just happened to notice the count of how many people have watched that clip.  Today the total was 63,655,000 (and some change).  Imagine that! And there are several different cuts of that same performance, some with more set-up, etc.  So this clip in High Def, by itself, was watched by almost 64 million people.

And productions happening in Australia and Montreal, Canada - the latter has it also listed as: Le cortex de la plančte X

BK, they're taking director applications!

Not sure where they are - I did like that they used the original LACC staging I did for the opening number - thanks to You Tube. :)

Got the bad news that a friend of mine had a massive stroke yesterday and is not expected to make it. I went off to the hospital to see him, and his sister was in the room talking about how the same thing had happened to her and she's up and active. The family is Catholic and she had been given last rites.

Still, I don't think Richard is going to make it. He's only 53.

DR JohnG, what sad news! How are you dealing with this?
I went to Lenten services this evening. It was comforting.

DR MBarnum, I will have to watch MURDER IN THE BLUE ROOM some day--those posters make it look like a lot of fun!

If you would like a copy of it, just let me know!

Yes, please, if possible.

There were some wonderful songs on the album "Charles Sings Strouse" that are not overly familiar. "Homeless" from "Lyle," "Too Young to Be Old" from "Lady for a Day" and "The Man Who Invented Ice Cream" from "Bojangles" are three favorites.

I've always been fan of "Those Were the Days" from "All in the Family," too.

I have a terrible habit of writing down phone numbers without writing down the name of the person to whom it belongs - i am always finding scraps of paper with unidentified phone numbers written on them

I include the names but unless I write down part of the conversation I haven't a clew who the person is.  This of course is only with folks I have just met.  I'm not that senile yet. ;)

At least you don't remember being that senile yet.

If you two are sure this is permanent you may consider asking him to refinance and take your name off the mortgage

I am that senile -- the big joke around the office  is that I cannot remember anyone's names when I wish to address them -- there are only 9 of us

I resort to saying "you - blonde girl" ---

at first they were getting insulted   and then my mother called one day and had no idea what my name was and had to introduce herself as my daughters grandmother

they realized then that the apple did not fall far from the tree

It's been a long long day but the meeting about the winter holiday in Appalachia went quite wonderfully. We're ready to begin a series of readings. My friend Kasey has said yes to playing the sexy new preacher on the mountain and I have a call out to Sara Jean Ford, who's playing Christine in PHANTOM at the moment, about playing the Virgin Mary.

And who is Kasey?

Thought the Brainiacs here might enjoy this very sweet clip about a high school that's doing the show - it opens in two weeks

33 people is a small cast?

BK, I think you should drop in to the final performance - unannounced.  You could go to the cast party.
