Well, you've read the notes, the notes were a trip, and now it is time for you to post until the trippy cows come home.

Good morning, all! Last night I slept quite fitfully. At 6am I was wide awake, but I knew that, since I'd had around 5 hours of sleep at the most that I'd better stay in bed. I had a doozy of a dream, involving Cincnnati's Willis Music Store, relocated in Queens, a trip to Macy's, members of the Gay Men's Chorus who were shopping for Christmas music, Zack Stains who's one of my favorite tenors, DR JRand60 who wanted advice on Chrsitmas music, several favorite store clerks I've not seen in years, and the Men's Chorus concert, held in the First Christian Church of Middletown, OH. It was global, it was epic.

Today, I've got more Appalachian holiday work to tend to, then a trip to the NYPL for further research on THE CENTURY GIRL.

Monday morning greetings!  It's a beautiful morning here in SW Ohio and I'm looking forward to a fairly quiet week with much puttering time.

Texasville
At Long Last Love (favorite doesn't mean it has to be good)

I've seen too many unfunny comedies over the years from "The Hangover" and "Meet the Parents" to "Finding Nemo." But I think "1941" is probably the longest, least funny movie I've ever seen.

i just got back on a 6 a.m. train from Washington and boy are my wheels tired.  All these people who seem to take the 6 a.m. train and go right into work and some seem to do it week after week and the staff knows them and at times they know each other  - there must be a play in this.

Just witnessed a lovely scene outside. A guy walking to school was having a fight with a girl driving a car. She parked in front of the house, got out and they started shoving each other. They knocked over my recycling container. She ran back into her car and he started pounding on it while screaming obscenities. She drove off and he sat down on the sidewalk. Then he left. And I had to go pick up the recyclables.

I am making a small pot of soup to take over to one of our church members. This dear woman is 93 years old. She is the kind of woman who broke the way for all the younger women to be whatever they want to be. She is incredibly stubborn. She fell at Christmas and hasn't been the same since. Ruby is a very modest woman and serves God by serving God's people and finds it incredibly difficult to be on the receiving end of help.
