Greeting from Buffalo! My flight from Baltimore-Washington International Airport went without a hitch. The plane even arrived 10 minutes early!

VERY thankful I'm not suffering from allergies today in this heat. The humidity is something else. I guess it's been humid all week, but at the lower temperatures it was no problem. This, we're not used to.

While looking through the entertainment section of the Buffalo News, I saw that George Dvorsky and Jan Horvath are appearing tonight with the Buffalo Philharmonic. My brother and sister-in-law and I are going. I saw George in The Scarlet Pimpernel and with Brent B. as one of the Broadway Tenors. I think he's a great singer. I'm not familiar with Jan, but I'm sure she'll be great too!

I just finished the paper. At least enough of it that I can take the rest of the day off, read through it tomorrow or Monday and hopefully file by Tuesday.

No rest for the weary. The new semester started this past Monday. But my textbooks for one haven't arrived and my other one won't really start until I get the current class over and done with.

Today is supposed to be the last warm and sunny day of the weekend. They expect it to cloud up this evening, and by Monday it will be raining. That is pretty typical for the Northwest. May and June are usually crrap; and September is our warmest month of the year.

I think that may be the only Lisa Gardner book that i did not read (if it is a single). I prefer her series. Although i will definitely read it at some point. I just can't keep up with the authors i currently read.

I'm trying to avoid all hand held books. I just wanted to read the ones I already own.

Picked up two packages, one of which was the VERY errant and truant one from the UK - totally not as described and I'm sending it back - I'd already received the refund from the ABE so I've written the seller to say that it arrived and is on its way back to him.

We are back after a nice day of sightseeing on the trolleys. We just rode and listened to the narration and didn't get off to walk around at any of the stops. It was too hot & crowded and my feet are pretty shot by now. It was nice just to ride around and enjoy the breezes and the scenery. When the northern loop returned to the welcome center, we went across the street for some lunch and then took the loop around the National Mall and saw the memorials, Capitol, White House, etc. Again, just riding was fine. We got off near the White House and walked back to the hotel, picking up sandwiches for dinner later. We're in for the evening, I think.

No, Jane, we're here 'til late Monday afternoon. Tomorrow we're going to a nearby church in the morning. In the evening we're going to the Folger Shakespeare Library to see THE TAMING OF THE SHREW. In between, we'll probably come back here and watch the Indianapolis 500. Not sure what we'll do Monday - a lot of places will be closed for the holiday, I'm afraid.
