Good morning, all I stayed up too late watching tv, so I slept in until 7:30, since this is a day when I don't venture too far from the apartment.

I have phone calls to make this morning, one about a colonoscopy and one to Joshie, but most of my day will be centered on the computer, trying to make sense of my notes for EILEEN. There's not much else to report.

My question for ASK BK day - what was the NAME of your telephone exchange when you were growing up?

I had two - first LYceum 7 and then the one I still have VErnon 1....although it is now 831.

LUdlow-3-2287 - Plantation, FL
JAckson-2-4162 - Ft. Lauderdale, FL
JAckson-2-8636 - same

This takes us from the early 50s to early 60s, whereupon that last one became 522-8636, and that was the end of it. Wasn't this about the same time zip codes were implemented? Fort Lauderdale 12, Florida became 33312. Sad, ain't it?
