i hate to say it but I had to climb up in the attic and empty the pan AGAIN.  I was sitting here thinking it felt a little warm.  When I checked the temp.  it was 84.  I keep it at 78.  Funny what a few degrees difference feels like.

Why is the pan filling up so quickly?  Is it partly due to the humidity?

Has anyone listened to Hans Zimmer's "Aurora" yet?  I know it is not exactly FOLLIES, but I was just curious.

I'm heading out to meet a friend for lunch.  After lunch we are going to pick up some flowers to take to a woman in our book group who is recovering from a stroke.  The woman sounds great on the phone & I believe is progressing well.

~~~~~~~~~~Vibes to your book group friend!~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thank you.
She said it is scary thinking it might happen again.  There is no history of strokes in her family & her cholesterol is good.  She mentioned her blood pressure is up due to pain but didn't mention if she took meds for it.
I was surprised she didn't go to the hospital until the following morning.  Her husband knew the questions to ask if you suspect a stroke & she only failed one, the smile test.  Apparently by the morning she also couldn't raise her arms over her head.
At least you know what happened, DR Ginny.  I can't tell you how many times we have helicopters flying in  circles, or hear sirens or whatever and when I turn to my local news to find out what the heck is going on, there is nothing.
Thanks.  I had a nice time with my other friend.  She showed up with a decorative bird house we took into the florist with us & slightly decorated to go with the flowers we picked out.  Then we were early so we sat on a comfortable couch in the cool shop and talked until it was time to leave for our visit.
I went on a butterfly walk at the arboretum. Just as we were finishing, we found this very large two-tailed swallowtail sipping minerals from the damp sand.
Lovely.  I got a big kick out all the action in the video ;)
Thought about going out to get a pizza for dinner, but I think a high-speed chase just went by on Central Avenue (the street parallel to ours)  :o
I just approved the final version of my audio book.
It should be available in 2-3 weeks.
Congratulations!
Is it because this pan doesn't have a hole in it ;)
Is it difficult to get to the pan to change it everyday?
Then I would say that she is very lucky.  The first few hours are critical in avoiding permanent damage.
LOL I wondered what it was doing.  At first I read popping which totally confused me.
I know.
She was home from recent foot surgery, and on pain meds, when her husband found she had fallen out of med.  I'm impressed he even thought of doing the stroke test & to retest her the following morning.
Thanks, DRs TCB and Jane!  I saw the pick-up and at least 6 law enforcement vehicles go by on Central Ave., which turns into Coles Road a couple of miles east of here.
The three questions to ask suspected stroke sufferers:
Can you raise your arms and keep them up?
Can you smile?
Can you repeat a simple sentence?
Good evening, DRs!
Another library sale today, which I actually had forgotten to look up and get the date and time, so I wasn't there when the doors opened -- but this is probably the best one around for selection and I grabbed a few things.  Couple of examples:
"Double Life" - The Autobiography of Miklos Rozsa.
Some cast album CDs of those I have on LP but want for listening in the car, and, in some cases, just better listening.  A new one for me was BEN FRANKLIN IN PARIS.
I thought this was supposed to be another "scattered thunderstorm" day, but a line of short but violent storms moved through this afternoon, and everywhere I went after that was in continually varying amounts of rain.  I'm sure we've had enough rain to service many of the country's drought areas.
I can't believe that NBC News just ruined the swimming final for me.  I can understand the other networks not caring, but NBC??
Sorry DR TCB.  That wasn't nice of them.
There excuse was that it was already big news all over the world.  Well, I had managed to avoid the information for the majority of the day.  Instead of caring about the almighty ratings, just show the events live.
Maybe it's something simple like the way it drains and something that wasn't opened up when it was installed.  I'd call Monday and hope it's something simple
