After notes, I went over to Hugo's and had a small Caesar salad and pasta papa - I'm now stuffed to the gills and shall now watch a motion picture on Blu and Ray.

I went to the City council meeting to complain about the stupid don't feed the deer or turkeys but ok to feed the squirrels and birds ordinance.   They showed part of my comments on TV.  I have had more people tell me that they saw that clip and they are against the ordinance than anything I've ever done.  It's hilarious.  People walk up on the street to say "I saw you on tv.  I agree about the deer"  LOL

 ;D

Here there is a reason people shouldn't feed the wildlife, Bears & Coyote's.  Not feeding the deer has not reduced their population.  To keep deer away all landscaping would have to be removed.

We don't have bears but do have coyotes...of course you can feed them

I love them, but had to stop feeding them when they started damaging property.  They actually bent an iron shepard's hook that had a bird feeder hanging on it.  The feeder was broken into several pieces.

It has been such a lovely Saturday!

got up way too early...around 5:30 am...went grocery shopping...came home and started reading a fascinating novel titled FRESHWATER ROAD....watched the turgid 1958 juvenile delinquent melodrama YOUNG AND WILD....took a nap...read my book for a few more hours....went across the street to the Saturday Market..read some more...and here I am.

It's been a fabulous day here weather wise.   I cleaned out the side of the garage I park in and did some other outdoor things.  I also watched Atlas Shrugged part I.  It's a little disconcerting that Part II has different actors, but I'll adjust

By the way, I very highly recommend FRESHWATER ROAD! It is about a sheltered black girl from Detroit in the 1960s who decides to travel to Mississippi to help with registering black voters. Unfortunately, she finds out this is fraught with danger.

The author is Denise Nicholas, who many of you will remember from starring in the 1970s tv series ROOM 222. I suspect some of this book is based on her work with the civil rights movement. There is a lot in this book that is reminding me of the voter suppression that has been going on lately.

Here is Denise with her handsome co-star, and one of my favorite actors, Lloyd Haynes.

You can watch the movie on Netflix Streaming! it stars my dear, late friend Carolyn Kearney. What a sweetheart she was.

The narrator of the trailer is wonderful! Some great lines!

You would if you were walking a dog and the mother deer began attacking even if your dog was on a leash.

I remember thinking that if Karen Valentine was too silly to know she should get off that bus in the opening credits every week, I didn't want her teaching students-I didn't get that kind of no-laugh-track-comedy at first.  :)  They actually had a laugh track for a brief while, IIRC.

And now, I must be off.  I'm going with my niece and my sister's boyfriend (my sister isn't feeling well today) to see a local reading of Dustin Lance Black's "8" at The Washington Center for the Performing Arts.  Several friends of mine are in it.  And right next door on the main stage is the Seattle Men's Chorus.  Actually, I was supposed to usher for the chorus but couldn't because the tickets to "8" were purchased before I realized it.  Anyway, it'll be a very interesting evening.

Until later!

One of my favorite jokes that people think was Borscht Belt is actually from ROOM 222:

I have half a grapefruit every time I'm hungry.  I'm at about 40 grapefruits a day.
