I'm VERY hungry right now but won't be eating until 6:00.  I'd have some fruit if I had any.

Speaking of Alfred Hitchcock.  I have DVDs of a few of his first few seasons of Alfred Hitchcock Presents. I need to watch them someday!

I had a great time working at the book sale.  Apparently, we made over $3000 last night and $800 more was deposited at midday.  This money is for various scholarships, mostly local.  It's amazing what people will buy.

Richard and I just had a fantastic Lenten fish dinner at the local Greek church - baked fish, green beans, roasted potatoes, salad, roll, and honey spice cake all for $10 each.  Also a scholarship fundraiser.

Sounds great! I loved that church's yearly festival. Inever missed it and I'd come home laden down with baklava and other goodies.  There was a wonderful Greek-American singer whose name i've forgotten -  she was in THE MEDIUM -  and she used to brng me pastries and call me to remind me about the festival. I'm embarrassed I've forgotten her name. Shewas a music teacher in the schol system, I believe, and she died before I moved to Manhattan.

I just took a hot bath. I'll be in bed early tonight, as soon as GRIMM finishes. Between the ghosts and the noisy neighbor above me, I need some sleep.

Tomorrow's a Toyland day.

DR Elmore, the Greek church still does that festival and we always go if we're in town.  I also used to buy pastries by the box, but now limit myself to a single item that I eat in several installments.

Actually, that stuff for Superman makes the show look terrible.  They do no one a service shooting numbers at an early rehearsal.

BK - they look awful in that broadway.com cut, with that awful stiff intro by the guy playing Superman.  The context that it's almost day two of reharsal is so clear in the BWW shoot, not clear at all in the Broadway.com cut.  Yikes to the Broadway.com cut!

Since I don't go to that site on a regular basis, I have no idea where to find the SUPERMAN stuff.

Well, I'm off.  Tonight, my sister, her boyfriend and I are going to see the group Pearl Django perform at Traditions Café.  I saw them perform about 10 years ago in Seattle and they're fantastic!

Until later!

Time to watch SKYFALL.  :)

While I feel like falling asleep after getting so little last night, I expect the movie will wake me up.

I am super mad re: a library book.

It's funny I used to have so many problems with lost reservations slips (my library has suggestions by slips of paper).  But I have not had a problem in a very long time. I'm not sure if it's because I now try to label my suggestions as adult books or Young adult books (since we have separate librarians that order books).

Anyhow normally it wouldn't annoy me. Many of the books I request there is only 1 or 2 people waiting. So it wouldn't be such a big deal.  But I was already annoyed that a book I should have been first for (and ended up being second for) has been overdue for 11 or more days.

And now there is a book (which i reserved a very long time ago) that they got today. And I should have been first for sure. But of course it turns out that at least 3 or 4 people want it. AND I was not even on that list.

I think I know what might have happened. The book did not have a title until late. So it's possible i just wrote it as the series name #3 with the author's name. But I'm not sure if this is even the case. But regardless i think the librarian could have figured it out.

So now i'll probably have to wait at least 3 months. I did email the librarian. So if she finds my slip then she could possibly (if she wants to put me second). Of course this happens to the final book in a series i love. And there is supposedly some controversy about it.  :(

My library has this. I will probably reserve it at some point.

Here's the BWW video, which is the good one:

I have noticed that lately, my pants are rather snug and difficult to button. No connection with my previous post, I am sure.

Wash your pants in cold water and then they won't shrink.

Sounds a lot like our library book sale.  I'm not on the friends board anymore, but have agreed to work the sale again. I think it's a lot of fun, too
