I had a follow-up visit with my oncologist yesterday.  Everything seemed okay save for the blood work results which were pending.  Well, I was able to see them online this morning along with a note from the doctor.  She told me that she is concerned that my white blood cells have not yet reached the low end of normal range.  Because of that, I had to move my next appointment from late May to late April and to have more blood work in 2 weeks.  If my white blood cells are still low in that CBC, I will likely undergo a bone marrow biopsy (I've lost count how many I've had all this past year and they don't get any easier with experience).  My oncologist knows that the chemotherapy was intense and really knocked the heck out of my bone marrow.  I'm just worried if the marrow doesn't improve and/or there is a relapse of the lymphoma, I would then need to have a marrow transplant.  That scares me very much because that is the ultimate that can be done.  My thoughts race ahead of me and I know I have the tendency to think doom and gloom.  Sometimes it is difficult to put on a happy face, to borrow a phrase.

I have great news for the bitch: nothing!

That is great news. I wouldn't put it past her, though, to try to trump up some evidence otherwise.     ???

Count on it.  People like that don't shut up and go away.  They don't even have the courtesy to die.

Sometimes they do die and sadly their sister doesn't cry at the funeral.

I have no knowledge of back story here, but {{{{{HUGS}}}} seem to be appropriate.

Thank you.

I have always LOVED Christmas.  And I pretty much enjoyed Easter as well, even after the Easter Bunny stopped visiting me.  I was a bit put off by the annual shopping for new clothes just prior to Easter, but I've never enjoyed clothes shopping.

When I was with NATO in Italy, it was my sincere joy and delight that the month of December (and into early January) was a smorgasboard of international holidays....

It sounds like fun as well as interesting.

Anything I can offer is cold comfort but I'm sending prayers and good wishes your way. If I'm correct, the Fat Lady still hasn't sung. And she might have an encore.

When the boys were young Keith, Bryan & I were watching Craig t-ball game when Bryan asked if it was almost over yet.  Keith responded it isn't over until the fat lady sings.  Bryan turned to me and said "Mom sing".  We busted up but there were a few odd expressions around us. :)

Thank you DRs!  I do find much support and cheer with you all as scary as it can get at times.  A favorite book of mine, which never fails to make me smile, stars Grover from Sesame Street and can be found here (the illustrator has it online): http://smollin.com/michael/tmonstr/mon001.html

To answer your question from yesterday, DR Jane, we had a couple of inches of snow the other day and there's still some on the grass since it's been so cold.   There's a lot of rain expected on the weekend so I'm sure the snow will be gone soon.

Do any of you DRs know this movie?  It's Theodore J. Flicker's "The Troublemaker" which was written by Buck Henry and starred Tom Aldredge, Joan Darling, Buck Henry, James Frawley and the inimitable Godfrey Cambridge (who was great in "Bye, Bye Braverman").  I would love LOVE a DVD copy of it!  The last time I saw it must have been 20+ years ago after I became a big fan of "The President's Analyst".

Back from a good production meeting - saw the complete model of the set and it's really great fun.  Also, saw some costume sketches, ditto.

I have incorporated my sister's corrections into the manuscript (well, the one's I chose to accept). I have one more set, but first, a short nap. Thankfully, dinner's not until 8:30 tonight.
