OMG.  Dreams.

I'm not making this up:

The dream I remember from last night involved one of those electric sandwich-grilling devices, and seeing vixmom's face on the slices of bread I'd put into it along with a few odds and ends ingredients I was using up.  It was like vixmom was the spokesperson for the device, and this was a commercial.  Sort of.

Do we file this one under "religion"?  Or "erosion of sanity"??

I've had that dream, too!!!

Boys, that was no dream, you obviously fell asleep  with the shopping network on --- I was doing the 3 AM spot

I'm starting my prep for tomorrow morning's colonoscopy.  While I'm not excited about doing the prep and the procedure, I really needed the extra day and a half off from work

Went for a checkup  last night and walked out with a fistful of referrals,,, seems she frowns on   being 7 years overdue for a mammogram and  7 years overdue for a colonoscopy... so to punish me   she threw  in a pap, a sonogram and a bone density  test  to boot

As if I don't already have problems, my coffee maker is on the fritz.  Not that it's a problem like my others, but after all we're tawkin' cawfee.  Cawfee tawk topic: Do you like the cut of my jib?  And, is a jib a good thing to cut, or does it necessitate anaesthesia or some numbing agent, perchance?

what kind of coffee maker do you have?

Well I've been seeing my oncologist every  6 months for the past 5 years with a couple of PET scans thrown in there so I figured if anything popped up somebody would have noticed

Well, I must be off.  I'm going to see (not usher!) Yesterday and Today: the Interactive Beatles Experience.  My friend Margo and I usually usher, but the Center has started keeping track of the hours that we volunteer and if we get 40+ hours in a season, we get a certificate for two half-price tickets to any performance of a select list of Washington Center sponsored events.  If we volunteer for 60+ hours, we get those plus a free ticket and a half-price ticket, and if we get 80+ hours, we ALSO get two free tickets.  Well, Margo and I both have over 80 hours in, so both of us are using our three, count 'em, THREE free tickets each!  Even though the 60+ level is a free ticket and a half-price ticket, we don't actually need to buy the half-price ticket to use the free ticket, so we're not.  Anyway, tonight I'm a sit-down patron for probably only the second or third time in as many years. :D

Be back later!

Sure, if it had spread from these other places.  The tests are to catch it early, or in the case of a colonoscopy before it becomes cancer.

Do I remember correctly that you had chemo?  Have you had a bone test to make sure there wasn't damage from the chemo?

yes, chemo and radiation -  that is the reason for the bone density test - the radiation did a number on my hearing and my teeth

It's a stupid commercial they're shooting - it's the same production company every week - like there's only one house in one neighborhood at which to shoot.  I HATE these people.  And yes, they've parked where they shouldn't, once again.  Since I'm gone in a half hour I don't care.

If it's the same people then I'm surprised that they even approached you about the lunch thing. :)
