a traditional Caesar salad

Et tu, Brute?

I don't think that would work with these friends. So, I'm drying bread before frying them into croutons. And I have to coddle an egg for the dressing.

Oh, I knew that you wouldn't be so gauche as to use a bottled dressing, DR John G.!!!!      :)

I likely would for myself. Except they expect the tableside show. Oy.

Can you put some crispy chicken in the salad?  (That would allow you to spend some of the tableside show on making the chicken.)

I had Schnipper's caesar salad with chicken three times on my diet last week.  So far, i've lost seven days.

(Just kidding.  The salad probably had more calories than anything else I'd have had for lunch.)

I always remember Flag Day as it was also my sister's birthday.

I think it's the 25th Anniversary of my divorce today  I think it was 1989. I came out of the courthouse and the flags were flying.  it was a good day

I never saw a purple cow
I never hope to see one
But I can tell you anyhow
I'd rather see than be one

Guess I still have cows on my mind

We're supposed to have bad storms and it feels like it. Just the usual 70 mph wind with possible tennis ball sized hail and 3-4 inches of rain total and maybe a tornado.   Now, I don't know if this will happen, but I decided not to leave my plants in pots out in whatever happens, so I moved them all into the garage and watered them well.  At least I know they won't get trampled by hail

Ok, now this is disgusting.  Just read that a little girl had to use the bathroom on a Jet Blue plain while it was delayed on the tarmac.  They wouldn't let her get up and she ended up wetting the seat and herself and they still wouldn't let he mom get up and take care of her.

I slept well last night, but it was a hectic week and I am worn out. Nothing like big decisions--should I do this, should i do that--to disrupt one's sleep and wear you down. I took care of some things around the apartment today and now want to just be a couch potato.

Adults have the same problem.  This is crazy.  I'm guessing this rule comes from higher up than Jet Blue.  If the girl had gone to the bathroom the plane would likely have returned to the gate and the family kicked off.   ::)

I was on a plane stuck on the tarmac for three hours once. No bathroom, no water, no AC (IIRC). I don't think we were even given a reason for it. It doesn't seem like it should be legal. Apparently, no contingency plan in place, either. Surely something could be done, even if it was just peeing in a bucket in privacy.

They said in the article that it was all about the FAA rules about not getting up when the plane is on the tarmac

Jane, I believe it's all airlines. It has something to do with being on the tarmac. Does anyone know details?

I still remember making a mad dash to the bathroom while the plane landed.  I thought I would get in trouble but my father told me to run so I did.  Common sense ruled in those days.

Right, from "higher up" whoever that is.  It seems urinating on the seat is also a health risk.

Perhaps the FAA doesn't expect planes to be on the tarmac very long. But sometimes they are.

Of course it is. God forbid there be a medical emergency. I'd like to think that the unfavorable, ie disgusting, publicity from this will prompt a change.
