Isn't it amusing when someone posts something specifically so it will show up on your news feed and you can read it?  Well, people who do that, in the end, as my friend Richard M. Sherman (and his brother Robert B.) wrote: It's a Small World.  Small.  And funny.  And fine.  And that's all I have to say about that.

Inserting an image sounds dirty.  Jeanne, click on "reply rather than the Quick Reply box.  Once you do, a window will open and you'll see the choose image link - find it on your computer, click on it, and it will attach itself.

vixmom, so glad your visual migraine left. It sounds horrible. My osteopath used to get them, too.

Vixdad'sbestman's wife's family is of Syrian descent and they always have interesting things  to eat

they had  stuffed grape leaves and  some sort of raw highly seasoned lamb dish, and pickled vegetables lamb meatballs  in some kind of tomato based gravy and something that looks liek mini eggrolls but with a lamb (sense a theme here?) filling

I kept thinking  that JohnG and Jose would probably love this stuff

'

I would be very ill.  I love the flavor of lamb, but I have a very bad reaction.  So bad, that if I had been on the tarmac, they would regret me not using the bathroom.

that's why airlines don't serve lamb.

Makes no sense.  Tell me exactly what you're doing - and the kind of file or photo you're uploading - the size and if it's a proper jpg with that extension.

It's a jpeg and is currently on my desktop. I think the desktop location may have something to do with it. But since I don't usually post images i don't really know.

When you are uploading, you can't preview it, or it won't work.  You just have to post cold.

I have, but I don't think that is Robert Preston singing.

You need to upload the photo by clicking on attachments and other options and then find the file.   I don't think attaching as an img file works unless it's on the internet already

Back from the pizza party. Quite amazing. The man has the most cultivated cacti garden around his house. Takes up most every available spot and is lovely to boot. Some succulents and a few garden plants, tomato, basil and the like, all over productive in a well-tended way.

In back, he has an outdoor kitchen with an ancient gas stove in which he makes the most wonderful pizzas. People generally show up with wine and toppings and he uses them as he sees fit with a few vegetarian options regularly scheduled, plus some veggie pizzas with seafood. (No vegan options, no cashew "cheese," nothing of that order, sorry.)

So we sat outside with a fan keeping things cool and a delightful group of people. I ran into a friend I hadn't seen in 10 years or so. I think he's suffered something, akin to a stroke or a drug-related setback (more likely the latter and possibly alcohol-related, though he was drinking). He was functioning, and he remembered me, and we had a few good chats over the course of the evening. Still, something was missing there, and it was rather sad, because he was, well, rather brilliant before. I've had the same response to dealings with a friend of mine from high school, who was also brilliant back in the day.

DR John G I'm curious how the sleep study has been so draining.  I've heard from people they were fine with them.  Maybe they just say that to encourage me to go.

I wish I knew exactly why. I slept without aid for the first two hours or so, then I was awakened and had the mask applied. Then I slept fairly well until I was awakened in the morning. I remember waking once or twice, but I feel as if I slept most of the night through. Still, I felt groggy and disoriented when they finished they test.
