Good Evening!
Back from the show... And a very good show it was tonight! We were technically Sold Out, but once the lights came up, I did notice a couple of empty seats. Ah, well... We had a very good audience, and even had some "repeaters" in the audience - meaning, this was their second time seeing the show.
DR Pogue was their with his DW Julieanne.
DR PennyO even ended up showing up tonight! *I feel a little bad for not being able to spend more time with her after the show... But it was great finally getting to meet her even if it was just for a few moments. We'll have to get together in NYC, DR PennyO!
My brother, Jay, had a wonderful time. And he even got most of the "in" jokes. -I'll have to thank my Mom for dragging all four boys to the theatre every now and then when we were kids. It was also nice catching up with my brother too. His move down to San Diego seems to be agreeing with him, and it turns out he is now making a lot more money in his job, and he actually works less than he did before. Score! It also turned out that his new boss is a former grade school/high school classmate and family friend. We had a nice dinner before the show, and we even checked out the West Hollywood Target just for kicks since we had some time before heading to the theatre. He had to head back right after the show since he has to be at work tomorrow at 7:00am(!), but with the way he drives, he'll probably be back in San Diego in about two hours(!!!!). -He was estimating it would take him about an hour and 45 minutes... and since I did the drive with last year, he'll probably make that time.
Another professional colleague of mine also came tonight. Barbara was/is the show director for Universal Studios, and I met her last year when I was here. She's also a producer (
Rent, Avenue Q, among others) - and she's helped me get house seats from time to time for shows in NYC.

We have a bunch of mutual friends, and we'll be lunching tomorrow at Chin-Chin to talk the talk and dish the dirt. I can't wait! Oh, and she loved the show! And she also brought her friend, Kirby Tepper - who happens to know BK!.
So, all in all, a very good day, and a very nice evening. I was actually a little worried right before the show began when I heard that the show was sold out. I wanted to make sure my brother could get in. -Thank You, No-Shows! I also started feeling a little funny stomach-wise, but it all settled down by the time I stepped out on stage. Whew!
And as I get ready for my last full day in L.A... And my last performance of
What If? (at least for this run, fingers-crossed)...
Did you get some See's, DR Panni?
