Thanks for the Grammy nominations for show album. I'll be predicting WICKED as the eventual winner.

Absolutely...getting right what the Tonys got wrong.

DR RLP - I could always email you this week's Allison Photo since you expressed such appreciation.

Nice new avatar, DR Ann.

Enjoyed the pics and am glad everyone had a fine time at the reading and Joe Allen.

AVENUE Q's score is wonderful within the confines of the show itself, sensational and perfect for the show. I think WICKED plays better as a stand alone CD. That's what I'm basing my pick on.

Could be totally off and ASSASSINS ends up winning it.

Speaking of Allison, JRand54, I won a cool photo of Ally from The Disembodied, the other day! Woohoo! Quite a menacing shot of her with a knife!

And might I add:  Page Six at only 4 pm Eastern?

DR Panni, as we have already surpassed -- by far -- our ATL, I predict you will be quite enraptured by tonight's final number!  I know you are always concerned....  ;)

Yay, it worked!  That last one was Piper, hanging upside down.  This one is Petrie, being coaxed out of the pouch with a treat...

Thank you Donna.  What happened to cabaret on your name and did you move?
I love THE WAYWARD WIND but can’t remember Gogi singing anything else.

TCB-LOL but haven’t they heard of make-up?

Jennifer I wouldn’t have cared if it was “outside clothes” either just arranged not to wear them at the same time.  If you really preferred the other color I would try to exchange the pajamas.

WFO I like your Google find. :D

Thank you Ann.  Did Jed take the picture?

I shall be seeing our favorite Dame this evening and shall have a full report on my return.  Happily, curtain is at seven (some new Tuesday night thing they do), so even with Joe Allen I should be back here by eleven at the latest.  I'll pack now, then maybe I'll get to bed by midnight and get a full four hours of sleep.

Favorite Torch song:

"Skylark"  -- I don't think I've ever heard anyone do this song badly, which is strange because I think it's a difficult song to perform.  My favorite rendition is probably kd lang's on the Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil soundtrack.

And now I leave to rest in my heavenly abode.

BK - have a good time at Joe Allen, and a hastle-free flight.  May Olga Rodriguez leave you in peace, not pieces.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR READER JANE!!

and

HAPPY HANUKKAH TO ALL OUR DEAR READERS OF THE JEWISH PERSUASION!!

Sorry I couldn't make it to the signing last night - I was stuck working RODELINDA at the Met from 6:30-12:30. :-( I wanted to try to at least make it to Joe Allen, but the show was just too long...

Finally got my copy of BROADWAY'S LOST TREASURES II and immediately went to the COCO scene and song "Always Mademoiselle." Hadn't seen it since the original telecast, and it brought back so many memories of that show. It is impossible to believe that Katharine Hepburn is no longer with us.

A further note on the gathering last night: chatting with Sexiest Man in the World Brent Barrett, he admitted to me that his current travelling schedule doesn't allow him to have a dog.  Sad, but absolutely correct, as it would be wrong for them both to be separated so frequently.  A dog (or any pet) is supposed to be a companion, not a fashion accessory.

At the same time, dammit, Brent needs a dog!  He is so obviously a dog person, and would shower the canine with affection and get same in return.

We need to set up a committee, to find out what his schedule is and make sure there is a dog everywhere he goes, to give him puppy love even if it's on a loaner basis.

Unless it turns out he has allergies that he didn't mention, and wouldn't because, after all, being sexy includes never being rude.

This requires more research.

Speaking of The World's Sexiest Man Alive (a.k.a. Brent Barrett), someone a couple of weeks ago (maybe) said that he was married to someone who had sung on one of BK's CDs, either Lost in Boston or Unsung Musicals.  I would like to know to whom is he married, so I will ask:  "To whom is he married?"  Anyone know??
