Where did everyone go?  Well, I’m going to go relax, curl up with Keith and the pets and watch some TV.  Goodnight.

Where is WEL with his pompoms when we need him? BK leaves and all of the sudden it STOPS.

I'm sure you people have more eye candy on your hard drives, let's see em!

And start posting for BK's mental delectation. Let's not be errant and truant, let's get some postin' going on.

DR Ron, I finally got around to reading and answering your e-mail. I was off-line when the trouble was happening here obviously. Glad everything is working properly. Thanks to whoever got things going again.

I am not happy.  The weather forecast for tomorrow has freezing rain and/or ice pellets. How could it be 65 degrees on Friday and now this?  Not funny!

Just for fun, here's a URL for a site on "Li'l Abner" the movie, giving lots of background on how the play went from Broadway to celluloid.

And you can visit:

for an article on just the Broadway musical.

Now...is this a repeat?  I don't remember if someone posted this "Li'l Abner" photo here or not:

Happy, Emily!

Just a quick note: the lead-footed der Brucer and I have made it to Knoxville, KY (lead-footed being a ref to his behavior in Texas).  I've got lots of catching up to do, obviously, but won't be able to do any of that until we get to Rehoboth Beach, DE, if then!  (There are phone hookups to deal with.)

Many many many many (that's four manys) stories to be told of our travels, which will take some time to organize and write, so let us simply say that I look forward to the telling, and to catching up with everyone else's lives.  Der Brucer and the dog dog dog dog dog (that's five dogs!) are all well.

Best to all! - S. Woody

Thanks for those great LI'L ABNER pics. I need to take out my videotape and give it a look soon. It's been too long since I watched it.

Note to DR Jay...
DR Sandra set it to post the picture. It's a bat, hanging from the ceiling. It's wings are folded, and you can see his eye near the bottom right of the pic.

Dear Readers--

I have just returned from the Musical Theatre Guild's semi-staged production of Dear World in Glendale, California.

I ran into Dear BK during intermission and enjoyed chatting with him and some of his friends.  He assured me that he will be writing about Dear World in tomorrow's notes, so I shall endeavor to not steal any of his thunder.  Can't help but say, however, that my scorecard ended up reading Score:  10.  Book:  3.  (Oh, a A Chorus Line reference.)

There were a few notables in the audience beside BK.  I'm pretty sure I saw Guy Haines (well, the back of his head) across the lobby before the show began, but by the time I was able to make my way over there to say hello, he was gone.

Well, we couldn't even beat yesterday - most disappointing I must say.  I shall  now go pout in the corner.

Okay, it's pretty late, but who says we can't beat yesterday's posts?  Here's number 167.

Did anyone watch "Average Joe" hosted by Kathy Griffin?  It's a new spin on an old "reality" show.  A beautiful woman with 16 not-so-beautiful men.  Some very not-so-beautiful.  I'll admit that several were kind of cute, IMO (in my opinion, in Internet lingo).  But, I'm not the one on the show.  Anyway, that's what I watched this evening.

What's all this fuss about not doing as well today as we did yesterday.

And where in tarnation has everybody gone to, that's what I'd like to know.

MBarnum:  Thanks for the info re: Gordon Mitchell.  Can you share more info on him?  Was he a bodybuilder?  Did he do other movies?  I know nothing about him, but I'm glad you got to know him.

Tonight's episode of "Everwood" was magnificent.  I'm often amazed at the writing and acting, but tonight they outdid themselves and guest stars Beau Bridges and James Earl Jones were vibrant and real and very touching   I cannot recommend this show highly enough to anyone.  It's quality to the nth degree!

It just makes no sense to me, really.  I mean, one tries to see patterns and one does on certain days.  Then, out of the blue, the pattern changes and I do not like change.  Oh, well, post while you can because the new notes will be up shortly.

Man!  It's hard to believe that S. Woody and der Brucer have made it all the way to Knoxville since leaving Long Beach on Saturday.

I'd be totally whupped by this point...and probably somewhere in Nebraska!

I think it may be the novelty is wearing off a bit, BK!

That, and the stunning realization that after you earn 3 stars at 100 posts, there's nothing "more" to look forward to on the "how-many-gizmos-can-I-amass-by-my-name" circuit!

Or it could simply be that we lost a bunch of potential posts when things went kaflooey for an hour this afternoon.

For me, it's always been about the content, and now that we can add pictures, I like the prospects even more.  I'm sure things will stabilize to your satisfaction.
