I wish I knew where the hell I put that DVD of Nashville!  It's in none of its usual places.  Maybe I lent it to Joshie?

A light just went on!

DR Elmore, my Criterion is from their short-lived dual format period, with Blu-ray *and* DVD in the box. If you don't find yours, I could pop the DVD into the mail to you.

(EDIT:  I would, of course, also be willing to drive it down, if we were living in better times...)

What's more, if my Windows laptop were working, I'd -ahem- have the means of making a copy of it for you.
(sssh, don't tell anybody)

If this evening is as clear as I believe it's going to be, it's going to be Nashville night in these parts.

Whoa.

RIP Terrence McNally

The cause of death was complications due to coronavirus; McNally was a lung cancer survivor who lived with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He was 81.

I must call Joshie.  I think he might have it.  Thanks for your offer.  I hope you enjoy it tonight.

This is very sad news. I hadn't seen a thing about this.

Tuesday afternoon greetings!

I wish I knew where the hell I put that DVD of Nashville!  It's in none of its usual places.  Maybe I lent it to Joshie?

DR Elmore, I had a vague recollection of you sending me something related to Nashville , so I looked on our DVD shelves - twice - and didn’t find it.  Then I checked our audio CD shelves and found that you’d sent the soundtrack. Thank you for that and I hope you find your DVD.

I found three emails this morning, too many yesterday including one from a lawyer telling you to cease and desist and one from Chase Brock asking you to remove his name.  Since you insist on bringing this to HHW, them I will post this here: take me off your address list.  If you want to self-destruct, I don't want to know.

I just looked at my aol:  What lawyer told me to cease and desist yesterday?

Larry, if you're talking about Lily Houghton's agent. Rachel -  is that what you thought was a lawyer sending a cease and desist?

Incredible that this came so fast, being caused by the virus.

Even though he obviously had huge respiratory issues already. Too sad.

When McNally's comedy The Ritz opened in Jan. 1975, I flew to New York very early in the run because I wanted to be sure I caught it in case it closed.  I saw a Saturday matinee with the original Broadway cast, and it remains one of the funniest farces I have ever seen. The casting was perfect, and Rita Moreno was even more brilliant.  The movie is funny but not as brilliant as the play.

I had my first bad delivery from Amazon, a 5-lb bag of Meow Mix dry cat food.  The bag was punctured and the shipping dept. had wrapped it in a plastic bag before putting it into a carton.  This should never have been sent to anyone and I am not happy about it.  However, since I know things are panicky at the moment, I'm not going to insist on returning it.  I'll put it out for the birds and that should last for several weeks.

I'm up, I'm up - got up at one - nine and a half hours of sleep, which, right now, is worse than getting under eight.  Must start setting the alarm.

My reaction for the most part was bullshit.  The call may have lasted around 30 minutes; I was very happy when it was over.  I then spent an hour or so wondering what was the reason for the call.

Yet you let her ramble. I think that was nice of you.

My responses to everything were terse and not friendly.

Well, I'm off to bed.  I need to go to work tomorrow and hopefully finish all the invoicing and report creating that I need to do.

Have a good day, all!

I'm at work and decided to take a little break from invoicing. :) Otherwise, it's going well.
