Well, if they're not at home, they'd better be essential people.

That was me asking about LACC.

ABNER would be my holy grail. I'll scarf up any of it you're willing to share.
L.A. NOW AND THEN - loved the excerpts, but yes, a straight through one would be wonderful.
BRAIN - absolutely positively. Wasn't some of that on YouTube at one point (I haven't looked yet)? Or was that NYC?

Not LACC, but is PURE IMAGINATION a possibility?

Are you allowed to do a documentary of sorts about making that production of "Lil Abner"

That way, the clips could be more than clips.

I'll have to see if I have the complete file on LA Now and Then - I'm sure I do.  Brain is a no-go for the reasons I've stated - the actor got worse and worse as the show ran and unfortunately it was taped on the second to final performance when he was completely out of control.  I did everything I could with him but he was a real jerk and thought he could do whatever he wanted.

I do have Pure Imagination - not all the way through, but clips - but again, certain people in that cast were just not up to the challenge - I could put up Sami and Jane Noseworthy's stuff and may.

Su Lin is in love with Levi.  Han Chow is in love with Su Lin.  I think at that time Levi clearly knows Su Lin and he could never be together and to protect her he sends them to Chicago, which is based on fact - he did that to protect his Chinese workers - it's all in there but perhaps needs to be strengthened.  As to Sarah, her husband is always off making speeches and doing stuff, hence no children and her being alone most of the time - I agree it's a little weird and I'd address that at some point.

I'll tell you something else interesting:  There's a whole thing where the Chinese chanting is.  I wanted a sort of Chinese Opera theater thing there, which I thought would be a neat way of showing the burning of Chinatown and Levi's factory.  And we did it, which is why you hear the chanting.  But we didn't have the costumes for it nor the masks to make it work, and Kay struggled with it and I didn't like it and it confused the audience.  Larry suggested that for the video we make it a montage and we did, but that's something I'd like to revisit because I came up with an intro for it that I think would make it work.

There's still got to be something that makes her willing to marry Han Chow, and I either missed it or it needs to be rethought.  I like this show, and I wish it so much good.

I had to do some clean up work on "the book."  Now it's time to think about dinner.

The score for LA Now and Then is great. So, seeing the show would be a treat.

The old bank building in the center of my town lost its second story last night.  You may be able to see it here.

If you scroll to the right.....where that black light pole is.....in the 1920's there was a 20 foot tall lighted cross since we were the headquarters for the KKK in the state.  :(

It was taken down long ago, but even when I was small, the hole in the sidewalk where it had been was still there filled with gravel.

I am glad it was removed.

Brigitte has her cellphone with her. She has to be in isolation for a week while they treat her. But she can text.

Thank goodness for texting.

The notes have updated.  It seems the reload was simply slow.  When I opened the notes again they had already changed to the 9th.

I have no idea what our first tv was.  I was only 2 at the time.  I only remember that we had one.

Is anybody planning on watching the free streaming of the new musical version of Pride and Prejudice tomorrow?

I guess I am now!  I didn't know about this.  Thanks for posting it, John!

Bandstand’s screening also lasts a couple of weeks.

I can't wait for that!! :D Except that once you pay and start watching, you only have three days to watch it...as many times as you want, but for only three days.

With a bootleg of Love Life, I come to the end of my Kurt Weill odyssey. It’s been about 38 hours of listening. What shall I listen to next?

Wow!  That's a lotta Weill!

Whoever was asking about other LACC stuff - there's a lot of LA Now and Then on YouTube, but I may have the entire show - if so, should I put that up for streaming?  I have a full performance of Li'l Abner, but it was the first dress rehearsal and too rough to put up.  I was thinking about maybe getting a couple of clips out of it?  I would have taped several performances, but the then head of the department was a real jerk and soon thereafter he was fired for something he did that was quite illegal and involving me - a story I have never told.

First, do you really have to ask if you should put up your shows for streaming?  Of course!  Please do!  And second, as to the head of the department, :o !
