I went to Portland for a couple of hours and met with a new endocrinologist.  I had no idea my appointment would take so long and was very impressed with her.

Very good!

Watching an all-female production of Pericles, Prince of Tyre. The text has been abridged to a mere outline.

A major downside though will be going to Portland and dealing with traffic and the bridge over the river.  I normally make morning appointments and then realized I want next years appointment AFTER rush hour.

The new doctor gave me a script for two tests I have never had before.  After the results she will give me her opinion if I should follow plan A, B, or C.

Church is going to reopen next Sunday, which is Pentacost, but I think the rules will enrage some. Yes, you have to wear a mask, but you also have to have your temperature taken before you can enter the sanctuary. You have to adhere to social distancing. All hymnals, bibles and any paper and pens have been removed. Everything will be wiped down between services.

I’m not ready to head back.

Will you continue to worship from home? Are there other options?

Jane, since you were interested in the early polio vaccines I'll mention there was an article in the NYTimes this past week about the early polio vaccines and the risks and shortcomings of new vaccines. I hope some of the Powers That Be read it and take it to heart, as a faulty vaccine can do great damage.

Thanks.  I did read the article and it did reinforce my concerns about manufacturing vaccines too quickly.

There are more cars on the road here, but some drivers don't seem to realize that. They drive as if there's no one around. I had to speak to one driver yesterday and tell him that there are other cars. Of course, unless he's telepathic he wouldn't have heard me.

This sounds very sensible to me. Sometimes I think it's good to simply try someone new. I sometimes feel like my doctors have a little snyopsis of me in their minds and will continue along those lines no matter what.

LA County has a goal of reopening by July 4. I haven't heard any details and I doubt that they mean EVERYTHING. But car washes have been told they can reopen, which I welcome as my car is filthy. I do hope people continue to distance and wear masks.

Is this the wonderful full car washes in LA?  Will they clean the inside?

Our drive through car wash has been open, wash only.  You aren't permitted to get out of your car.  Since we haven't been driving much we have only gone once.

Glad you like this doctor, Jane.

Thanks though I doubt I would recognize her on the street without a mask.

I haven't heard any details. I'd be happy if all they did was the exterior.

Bruce, are you getting more comfortable with doing Kritzerland shows via video?  It sounds like you've made great progress.

And the live stream is new since Covid?

Jeanne, yes, it was a real learning curve for the May show.  There are two complicated things for the June show and I've seen the rough tests for each and they're going to come out really well, I think.  And there are a few surprises in this show :)

So, even though we had this night completely to ourselves a mere two days ago, there are suddenly three major concert things that people have suddenly decided they're doing because it's Tony night.  Funny that they only figured that out two days ago.  I must say, there's too much stuff now - everyone and their mother is doing a porch concert or a this or a that.  We're not like that - we're just doing what we've been doing for almost ten YEARS now - we're not doing it to call attention to ourselves - if I felt like doing that I would load us up with every major musical theater person I ever worked with - we're doing what we'd be doing at Vitello's if we could be there - we can't, so we do it online so our loyal audiences can enjoy.  But the sheer volume of home stuff, porch stuff, balcony stuff, is mind-numbing at this point.

So, as it turns out, The Cheesecake Factory is open until 8:00 on the weekends, so, that's what's on its way.

I want a  small BBQ chicken salad.  Hold the chicken and add extra black beans.  A slice of anniversary cheesecake for dessert.

Friday evening greetings!  I'm not sure where today went.  I shopped online a bit, played in my craft room a lot, and did some desk work.  Not much time in the kitchen, because we had leftover chicken pie for dinner.

The closest Cheesecake Factory to me is 25 minutes away.  I will not be having any.
