Reading about the latest QAnon conspiracy theory.  Really.  Crazy-making.  What has become of our nation?

Why was there such a commotion over Biden tipping his Blizzard upside down?  People could have just looked it up  ::)

I hadn't heard about this. ???

DR Jane - this was the one about John F. Kennedy Jr. not really being dead, and being announced today as Pence's replacement on the ticket.

My brother commented that he never had spelling errors until he got spellcheck.  After informing him the problem is autocorrect I sent him this which he found funny.  He lives a sheltered life and wasn't aware of all the RIP jokes on the internet  ;D

That's funny!! :))

And speaking of Dairy Queen's Blizzards, I came across this article:  The real reason Dairy Queen Blizzards don't fall.

The more you know. ;)

I only watched the final performances, so I don't know who got performed over the season and who was eliminated up to this point.

While taking my walk tonight, I was so absorbed in my audiobook that I didn’t hear or see a pitbull mix about half my size rushing toward me. His owner called him back and he instantly returned to her. But it scared the crap outta me. I screamed. I love dogs but I’ve been attacked several times in the past and that feeling never goes away.

I really liked the black woman singer, the black male singer who was incarcerated and released because he was innocent, the little guy aerial performer, and a couple of others that I can't remember.  I didn't love the three sister contortionists, and also a couple of others, but like I said before, they were all very good.

From Bruce:
Quote
I love pistachios - Peyton Kirkner's mom's family makes them up north so I get bags for free.  Hazelnuts, on the other hand, make me want to vomit on the ground.

Makes pistachio nut?

I have had to pass on many delicious chocolate desserts since adding hazelnuts is very popular.

Jane, do you not like hazelnuts, or are you actually allergic?  Just curious. :)

It is difficult to like something when you spit it out as quickly as I do.  When I was young my throat, mouth, and eyes swelled up. I always had medicine with me so my throat never completely closed.  Almonds were the same but now I can eat them.  Brazil nuts are bad too.

I am lucky though that with accidental exposure I developed a tolerance for nuts over time.  First symptoms are my mouth and lips start to itch.  That is when I spit ;D

I still have mild symptoms to nuts I do eat, often depending how they are prepared.  I just stockedup on Trader Joe's cashews as my mouth doesnitch at all vs Planters.  Raw almonds bother me but I no longer painfully swell up.  I can eat slivered toasted almonds by the handfuls.

George did you track that your ballot was received?  I can't remember.

I just did!  I went to Washington's Voter Portal, entered my name and birth date, saw that my information was correct, and under "My Ballot" then "Ballot Status," saw that my ballot had been received ("Ballot Returned Date") and the status was "Accepted." ;D

Great.  I plan to do it after we vote.

Today I learned that Dairy Queen serves their Blizzards upside down.  I think the one and only Blizzard I had was in 1976 and it was not served upside down.

They only started that in the last couple years.  They don't actually serve it that way, they just tip it over so that you know it's really thick...I guess.  It doesn't make any sense to me, but I do like them.

I’ve never had one.
