Here is a photo of some of the collectibles I told you about.  Note Alexis Smith's opening night ticket to Follies at the Shubert ebedded in plastic, and the Godzilla bubble machine.  Note the Bob's Big Boy glass circa late 50s.

More collectibles - note the matchbook from the Kiru - my father's restaurant (called the Erro in the Kritzer books).  Note the Fosters Freeze glasses.  Note the Sony TR63 transistor radio - yes, the very first "hit" transistor radio sold in the US, and the radio owned (not this particular one) by Benjamin Kritzer himself.

And here it is.  The tenth episode of the first season of POLICE STORY.  Broadcast on December 4, 1973.  "The Big Walk" directed by Robert Day, written by Don Ingalls.  Guest cast Don Murray, Dorothy Provine, Lynda Day George, Larry Wilcox, and Conrad E. Palmisano.  ;D

My Goodness, BK!
You do have that painting too?

Well, come to think of it!
I have it too, but mine is smaller! Way smaller, and it fits in a cd jewel case...

The KI is from Kimmel.  The RU - well, therein lies a tale.

Here is a photo of another theater composer and myself.

bk, what is your filing system like for those books? Are they alphabetical by title, author, Dewey Decimal system filing, or randomly arranged?

Awwwwwwwwww.....Jerry Herman always dresses so well....and he looks like he's having a great time!  How is he in the studio?  Does he know a lot about the technical side....or is he mostly a music person?  Ditto Mr Sondheim?

Alphabetical by author, always.  In my play section, the plays are by author, but the musicals are by title.  I shall now eat something and then return with more photos, so don't go away.

Neither Mr. Herman or Mr. Sondheim know anything about the technical side.  They both trusted me to produce the album.  They occasionally had comments about a performance and then I would usually go give the note.  Here's more books on the opposite side of the room - note the DVDs in the lower shelves - I ran out of room in the den.

I was going to say the same thing about Jerry herman. You never see him in a sloppy shirt or in anything but snazzy clothes and perfectly combed hair.

Thanks Michael8

Can't reciprocate yet... I have to wait of few more hours, according to Mark's system!

The "scared" look on BK's face on almost all of the pics just crack me up!

Thanks for sharing, BK!

Waitressing hurts your lower body very much. I feel like I have just run 5 miles! I need a masseuse to make me feel better...BK, feel like shipping yours over here for a day?

I suppose I'll give you a "child's" point of view on the MJ/abuse thing. I am incredibly glad and thankful that the shrink reported the abuse. Kids are repeatedly told to tell things like that to adults they trust. Teachers, counselors, parents, neighbors, family, doctors, etc., all put themselves into the position to deal with stuff like that. And believe me, kids don't just TELL these things. It takes a lot of courage and trust. That boy was smart to tell the shrink about the abuse, and I'm proud of him for doing it. But once it's off of the child's shoulders, that "chosen" adult has the HUGE responsibility of making the right decision. While it may seem like their rights are being abused, would you rather the shrink have kept the information to themselves, and the abuse continued? (Please note that this is rhetorical, and I'm not directing it towards anyone.) While I don't love the fact that the media is sucking this up (We should expect the made-for-TV movie in a few days), the fact that MJ is being charged is a small step towards justice for the poor kid.

I'm echoing BK's sentiments about how we can discuss things like this and still keep our minds open. You all have such great opinions and beliefs about these things, it makes for very interesting reading.

BK: LOVE the pictures! You have quite the collection! If only I knew what half of that stuff was. ;)

Emily: Sometimes, people suck. Just smile, and walk away knowing that you are the better person.

Do you know what bothers me? People who come in to sit down for dinner 10 minutes before you close, and order the biggest thing on the menu that requires the most work. And then they take 50 minutes to eat. ERG! But my very nice friend who works at Starbucks next door was thoughtful enough to bring me a Caramel Frap, so in the midst of my tired anger, I had a bright moment. He's great.

How were your days?

TCB: I know every word to 10 Things I Hate About You. Heath Ledger! *drool* Oh and I love your job. People like you are so important.

DR Sarah - Being a wait-person has got to be one of the hardest jobs in the WORLD!  And I know people, they think as long as they get in the door before closing, they can do as they please....my years in retail taught me that.

My good thoughts are coming your way!

And you know, sometimes I think Media Interest is mistaken for Public Interest.  There are a lot of things in the media that they are rabid to write about, but I don't read the stories or watch the TV shows....

Speaking of scared, I was just attempting to scan and post the cover of "Losing My Mind" (Liza with The Pet Shop Boys). It is too dark. The interpretation of Mr Sondheim's song is scary. I also have the PSB sans Liza. The discs were required listening for me today after I had played the disco version of "The Ballad Of Sweeney Todd"
