Modify that last post of mine.  The MODIFY function seems to be there after all.

But at least that got me a couple of extra posts on the way to #500.  :)

I'm dusting off a throne here in the clouds and hanging upon it a "reserved" sign with your name on it....

Dear Jane

Be careful out there with that bear roaming about.  Do you have your bells on?  Are you carrying pepper spray?

Thanks, vixmom.

I'm wondering if I'm being a little too ambitious trying to make Godhood by next Wednesday, though.  But as they say, you gotta reach for the heavens.  (Not sure exactly who said that, but it seemed like the right thought.)

Are you referring to Hot Dog On A Stick?

Yep, but I eat the cheese on a stick.  I think they now have tofu on a stick-can't wait to try that on our next visit.  I only eat at the one on the pier.  The ones located in the malls just aren't as good.

Or is the right expression eye of the tiger?  Like in the ROCKY movie.

At the engagement party I went to on Sunday, they had a flowing chocolate fondue fountain.  So just about everything you could imagine (dessert-wise, that is) was being eaten on a stick with chocolate coating.

No hot dogs or tofu on a stick, though.

No and no  ;D but then I'm not walking alone in the woods, yet.  I usually do that in the winter after it snows.  Honestly I have never done it alone, always with Echo-so I'm not sure what I will do this winter.  As for walking in the woods I do that with a friend and we talk the entire time which must be louder than bells chiming.

I have that painting, only in white. And by "in white," I mean the figures in the painting are caucasian.

Nice review, MR BK!

Hmmm....

Judy Garland in concert in 1966 - I think I have the same souvenir book you have DR MATTH...with an Orange Cover.

4 GIRLS 4 with Rosemary Clooney, Margaret Whiting, Rose Marie, and Helen O'Connell.  They were all great and very funny.

LOS DIAVOLOS - an Italian dance-acrobatic troup.

AIDA - the musical by DR JOSE's boss Sir Elton John.  Didn't know the score didn't know anything about it....but I liked it a LOT!

LOL, I think even I would pass on a tofu and chocolate combo.  :P

They had that at a wedding we attended  last year.  The kids that were there  were standing around with their eyes opened so wide that you think they could never close them again.

There was one of those chocolate fountains at a nonprofit opening reception I attended recently.  I learned that there's no dainty way to eat a full-sized marshmallow that's dripping with chocolate.

Mike Barnum,  I noticed in my TV guide that the local NYC channel is having a 1/2 hour program on Friday evening about Little India

I was planning to  try and tape it for you, but you will probably see it before you see me...

Do you want me to tape it anyway?   :)

I will, indeed, be joining DR Ben and DP Ant to see "Mildred Pierce" tonight. At first I thought it might be unseemly to do so, considering the circumstances with my grandmother, but I'd rather have the distraction than sit at home and worry. And the good company is always a plus, too.

I am glad you are going DR Jason, I agree that it will be a good way to get your mind away from other things...and it is one heck of a good movie. I will be very curious to hear what you think of it!!

No dainty way to eat a whole marshmallow covered with chocolate?  Probably true.  You would have been surprised (well, I was anyway) at how many people took their chocolate-drenched booty off the stick and ate it with a fork.

Here it is noon already and I am still in my bathrobe. I spent a good part of the morning doing a telephonic interview with actor Rex Reason (brother of Rhodes). What a delight it was! I have been a fan of Rex Reason's since I was a small child seeing him in CREATURE WALKS AMONG US and RAW EDGE...and what a handsome guy...he still looks good in fact (he was at the Ray Court show in July).

PS: JRanb55, he did remember Allison!
