Granny update: Dad said she's feeling a little better today than she was last night, which is good. She was able to sit up for a little while today and had a couple of bites of lunch and isn't complaining of any pain today, but she's not "out of the woods" yet.

These HHW vibes are powerful!! Keep sending them her way. I appreciate it and I'm sure she does, too.

Most folk know her since she was a Gravitte; Bruce knew her when she was a Shapiro.

I never can remember if she's still Gravitte-Shapiro or Shapiro-Gravitte or if she's just dropped the last half of the name or what.

I just read that the touring company of DOCTOR DOLITTLE is closing this Sunday. What a surprise! It was scheduled to play here in November. Guess the producers of the local Broadway Lights series will be scrambling for a replacement.

Can it be?  The REAL Jason?

Will you be wearing your hat on Wednesday for easy identification?

I got a lovely surprise package today - the hardcover of my book, here much earlier than they said it would be.  It looks great, so now maybe they'll actually get my order here before the due date.

Yes, that's the real Jason if you consider a thick layer of stage makeup and two layers of costumes to be "real." I will not be wearing the hat, though looking at the picture, I must say I looked spiffy in it (it makes my forehead look MUCH smaller than it really is).

Good news! I can't wait to read mine.  Will you be "numbering" the first fifty that you send out with your autograph?

Going down to clean the bedrooms and hallway now. Will be back later tonight with a full report on the TV shows I've watched.

Since WILL & GRACE is live tonight, I'm going to have to watch it live so that means this week ALIAS will be recorded. Most weeks, I'll be watching it during its air time and recording JOEY/WILL & GRACE.

How did you know? I was Mary, the blind one.

Haha! No...actually, that was the production of MY FAIR LADY that firmly established my body image issues (see the posts from a couple of days ago) when I was understudying Freddy Eynsford-Hill. The guy who I was understudying was 6'2 and weighed about 14 pounds. You've seen me - we were like Laurel and Hardy up there - and I was 15-20 lbs. lighter back then!!

WILL & GRACE may be broadcasting live, but that show has been dead to me for a few years.  Dead to me, do you hear, dead!

Would someone be willing/able to record (on SP) the East Coast broadcast of "Will and Grace" for me...actually, it's for my niece.  She loves the show and had taped every episode (and keeps them until the DVDs are released).  She (and I, I admit) would like to compare both versions.  I'll be happy to swap.  I'd be happy to send a tape (taped on SP) of the West Coast broadcast.

Any takers??

Oy and vey, the day is getting away from me.  I must run out and see what the mail situation is, then I must get ready for Career Night - I now have directions, so I can at least get to the jernt.  I have to be there at four.

"Oy Vey?"  Are you now from Brooklyn??  According to THIS on Comcast.net:

NEW YORK - "Leaving Brooklyn? 'Oy vey!'" That's what motorists now see as they cross the Williamburg Bridge into Manhattan. The huge sign, affixed to a cross beam of the bridge high above the bustling traffic, is a sweet victory for Marty Markowitz, president of the borough, home to a large Jewish population.

Here's a real (untouched) picture:

vixmom - I'm not sure what the special something-or-other that will be included with the book for the first fifty people will be - I'm still pondering.

My body issues are a little odd.  I grew up very skinny, sort of a bone with skin on .

I could eat whatever ai wanted never gain weight....well at at the age of 30 my thyrpoid grew a lovely little tumor so the surgeon took haldf of it out,  and the other half that was left promptly stopped working.  I went fporm a size 3 to a  size 18 in six months.  The problem is I have a "skinny" body self image.  I am constantly  shocked when I see myself in the mirroror  attempt to buy clothes

Who is that fat woman in the mirror there?

Who can that tub o'lard be?
Such a chubby face, such a chubby butt, such a chubby meeee!!!!
