DR RLP thanks for the review links.  Interesting....

I can't argue vehemently with any of them, although I appreciated much of the second act more than most of them indicate they did.

But...after that first Act....well....ANYthing would be welcome!

More photos, please, BK!

Question for BK:  what opening night festivities are planned?

We're having a nice party with food in the lobby afterwards, and now are doing the same for Saturday night, so it's like a double opening.

Question for BK:

If any of the Benjamin Kritzer books were to be made into a stage musical - or even a movie musical - would you make them sort of a like a "jukebox musical" since the popular music of the day plays such an important part in the books, or would you like - and/or write - an original score/songs?  Or both?

Certainly in a movie non-musical you'd have the old music, but for a musical I think you'd just have to have an original score.

Oh... And another Question for BK... -Although, I probably could Google for this answer...

Does the Equity Waiver Theatre agreement have a limit on how long a show can be in previews?  I just seemed to notice that most of the waiver shows have very short preview periods - well, at least less than a week.

Would you have liked a few extra preview performances under the belt before the official opening of Deceit?  *You can answer this question later.  ;)

I'm happy with the four previews - a couple more might have been nice.  There is nothing in the contract that precludes you from doing as many previews as you want - people don't do them in waiver theater because they can't afford to - you're paying the same weekly rent for the theater and the budgets just don't have room.  Most waiver theaters do one preview or final dress and then open.

The eBay rule is that seller and buyer MUST contact each other within three business days of the close of auction.

Tammy doesn't wear the bikini in the play.  She does, however, wear a towel, and then underwear.

Greetings from the Green Room...

I thought I had rehearsal at 2:00...

Then I thought I had rehearsal at 1:00...

Then when I finally reached someone in stage management, I found out I had rehearsal at Noon...

So... Here I am.

That's why it's a CALLBOARD.  LOL.....

Who's on the phone?
It's Jose - what time is his call.
It's on the Callboard.
I know....go see what it says.
It says he is supposed to be here at Noon.
Okay....be here at noon.
Okay.

An earlier post reminded me....isn't the remastered SWEENEY TODD original cast CD supposed to come in February?

I haven't bought one yet because I thought that was the case.....

Jack, yes the re-mastered 1979 Sweeney is due for re-release sometime in February along with SITPWG and Merrily We Roll Along. They were scheduled for release earlier in 2005 but were postponed. I don't know why. They may be postponed again as the date approaches but right now they are still on track. Here is one of many sites which lists upcoming CD releases.

Re: the discussion of MEDIUM and the oldest daughter (with one small spoiler from monday's show).

Yes, I think she knows she has some abilities.  But I don't think that Alison or her husband have really sat her down and talked to her about this.

The daughter knows that she can do things (see math problems, predict the future, get lottery numbers).  But I really don't think that the children realize that Alison has special powers. And I don't think they really realize that they do either.

I remember in a past episode the middle daughter saw an imaginary friend.  But I don't think that the older daughter has any idea that the man she saw (who she called the librarian) was not real.

Does anybody else wonder why Alison and Joe have not discussed this stuff with the kids.  I guess they are trying to wait and do it on a need to know basis.  But I really think they should have told older girl this on Monday's show.

Now I am hungry.

DRMBARNUM sent me a DVD of a series that starred Ralph Bellamy.  The DVD title is MAN AGAINST CRIME, but the title on the three episodes is FOLLOW THAT MAN.

First episode was about a 6-day bicycle race and the fix was on.  Playing one of the FRENCH bicycle riders, accent and all, was a very young Martin Balsam.....he didn't even have enough lines for a screen credit.

Next up was an episode about a Day Man burglar.  Turned out the woman we saw making calls on homes to collect for charity (and find out when the house would be empty) was the Day Man in DRAG!!  Played by an actor named Kitt something...

Third episode, I fell asleep.

Yes, and we all know what sticklers eBay are for enforcing their own rules.   ::)

Shameless shill (but some of you might be interested) department:  I am busy uploading soundtrack and theater files I've composed today to my site.  I know some of you are big Susannah Mars fans, and there will be some clips of Susannah doing my material that I guarantee you you've never heard before (unless, of course, you have).   ;D  It will probably be this afternoon (PST) when the links are there and active.  I'm doing this all on dialup.  Can you believe it?  (I can't).
