Good Afternoon!
Well... I ran for one hour straight. -And, best of all, I didn't realize I had run an hour until I looked at my watch... At the end of the hour.
I started at the Jefferson Memorial... Up to the Lincoln Memorial... Around the Reflecting Pool... Past the Washington Monument... Along the Madison Street Side of The Mall... Turned around at the Capitol... Back down the other side of the Mall (Jefferson Street)... Took a left turn at the Washington Monument... And then back to the Jefferson Memorial...
Whew!
It was F-ing Amazing! I hit that fabled runner's high as I was circling the Mall and knew that my finish line was in sight. Needless to say, I was/am very proud of myself. And I actually felt like I could have gone another half hour or so.
*My "rule" was that I was only going to look at my watch when I got to the point where I felt truly tired... Well...

And distance-wise... I think I did about five and half miles... maybe even a little more than that since I took some detours along the way to check out some of the Memorials.
And now...
