Rock Me Amadeus.

It hardly seems anytime at all since he wrote the theme from Elvira Madigan.

Good Morning America.

And who said you don't get American morning television, Tom.

That's a breakfast "news" show, BTW, on ABC (Channel 7 here in New York)

Media Chex

iPod:  TWIN PEAKS soundtrack

Tivo:  The BLEAK HOUSE premier.

VCR:  A friend gave me a tape contains some episodes of Lorne Michales' THE BIG SHOW, a show which ran briefly in the early 80s on NBC.  The skits on the show mostly stank to high heaven, but regulars Buck Henry and Dave Thomas, along with guesting original SNL and SCTV cast members, made it all a lot of fun.  Looking forward to this!

Today is National Chocolate Cake Day!

Which ties in nicely with Wolfie's birthday, since a very nice chocolate liqueur is named after him.

Good morning!

beautiful day here and though it was super cold last night (21), it's going to warm up to the mid-50s today. Not a cloud in the sky, and it'll be fun to be out in the cold fresh air and sunshine later.

Thanks for the ehads up on last night's CSI which I'll be watching this afternoon or this evening.

Now that THE BOOK OF DANIEL is gone, I only have IN JUSTICE and MONK to watch tonight, so some of last night's shows that I recorded can fill in the blanks on tonight's schedule.

TOD:

Der Brucer bought a CD of some obscure gay revue, written by some William Finn wannabe.  The songs are all about the angst of being gay.  Yawn.  The songs are all sung by young men who have nearly identical sweet voices and sing entirely in sweet head tones and it all sounds so sweet that a diabetic would go into shock.  It's just ghastly.  I checked the liner notes, and there isn't a single picture of a cast member to be found, but if there were pics I can guarantee that not one of the boys would have a single chest hair.  Bleh.

Heading for the shower now in anticipation of my lunch date with my fella. It's a thirty minute drive from my house to the restaurant, so I've got to get going.

Der Brucer is watching some show he recorded earlier this week.  I think it must be about cannibals.  It's called Graze Anatomy.

Time to get ready for work.

Wonderful SF and travel report from DRJOSE - and great news about the Cast CD!!

As for the picture of me in my kurta.  I will be done in a few days.

DRLAURA - I am so sorry you have the Ricoh...yes as DR DAKOTA CELT said, even state & educational agencies are ridding themselves of these pests.  Second most problematic was Xerox.  The BEST machines I ever worked with were Canon Copiers.

I know a few belly dancers, and they are all great people.  I have seen them perform now and then, and it is a remarkable achievement.

Some of them dance with swords!

I'm up, I'm up.  The sun is already shining and the skies are already bright blue.  I shall give one more look at the promo spots then send them off so that they're waiting for the executive upon her arrival.  She wanted 'em Friday morning, she got 'em Friday morning.  Now, we can only hope she likes 'em.

Friday greetings!  The Dilbert-ness continues, but I won't bore you with the details.

Media report:  Right now, on my computer, I'm listening to Elmer Bernstein's motion picture score for To Kill a Mockingbird.  My task for today is to put the finishing touches on the discussion leader training sessions I'm doing next week for our 2006 Big Read and the featured book is TKaM.

DR RODZINSKI thanks for the information on the Costella Chalet...wow!
43 years is a LONG time for a place to be open....  Wonder if any of the original waitresses was still around when it closed?
