BTW, one of the hippies was actually born and bred in Collingswood, NJ, where I lived for a spell.

The hippie guys are funny - hopefully the schtick won't wear too thin.

SINGIN' IN THE RAIN....what's NOT to like?  And I guess I would give it the edge over SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS only because Jane Powell's singing sets me on edge after awhile....a....very...short...whiile.

Except that George lives in Washington (Olympia to be more precise)  ;)

My brain must stopped working momentarily... I knew that!!  ::)

I am sure the store personnel are nicer in Washington too! :)

But in any event... I just found my COSTCO receipt for the Hill Street Blues DVD's buried in the my purse...... I hope they still have them so I can just do an even exchange....

bk or anyone for that matter....  if you could perform any part in any musical irrespective of your age, looks or sex  (we'll assume you are perfect for the part!)... what would it be?

that would be entertaining to say the least.....

For some odd reason I keep picturing John Candy and Eugene Levy skit from SCTV of the Klemmp Brothers... ( Hopefully someone can correct if I am wrong... I am trying to recall it from memory but I am not sure.)

They were The Schmenge Brothers.

Tarzan looks fairly....undressed in that logo.

Tarzan, Tarzan
In the air!
Tarzan wear no underwear!
Tarzan say, "Me no care!
Jane wear my underwear!"

Jane, Jane
In the air!
Jane wear no underwear!
Jane say, "Me no care!
Cheetah wear my underwear!"

Cheetah, Cheetah
In the air!
Cheetah wear no underwear!
Cheetah say, "Me no care!
Elephant wear my underwear!"

I really don't recall where this went from here...

As "anyone for that matter", I'd love to play Charles Dickinson in "1776."

I'd also love to play Frederick in "A Little Night Music."

And I could "be" "Sweeney Todd" -- don't get me started!

Accordion Orchestra!!!

Do you know what?  I think that there should be at least one production of HELLO, DOLLY! with an all accordion orchestra!  I think it would be fantastic!

I think that I've admitted this here before, but I used to take accordion lessons. ::) Okay, it was when I was probably eight or nine years old, so it wasn't like I[/i] chose the instrument...my parents knew someone who knew someone who got me started. ;) But I only took lessons for a year or so.

Good Afternoon!

Clothes put away - alas, not my clothes, but they're now put away... And I believe that finishes the "de-Nick-efying" - or should that be "de-Nick-ing" ??? - of the room.  My room.

:)

Just taking a little breather before I take care of some cleaning.

Well... I think most DRs already know how I would answer that question!

;D

However...

I would love to play Pippin in Pippin, and I wouldn't mind being in the Quartet in The Music Man again.  *I was the Lead Baritone when I was a sophomore in high school.  -And I think I still have my honorary S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. membership card somewhere in my various boxes of mementos.

Very interesting, DR Ron--you picked two roles I would love to do--Frederick and Sweeney.  And in 1776, I would like to play Adams (too tall for him.)

If I could gender-bender, I wouldn't mind playing Lily Garland in ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY.

I really like GYPSY, too, as a Broadway transfer to film.

I honestly think WEST SIDE STORY's screenplay (with the song juxtipositions) is superior to Laurents' book for the musical.

John Dickinson, I'm sure you meant. Always a part I wanted, too. Closest I ever got was his cohort - James Wilson.

This is truly hypothetical, because I don't sing well enough for any role in a musical, but I'd love to play Molly Brown or Harold Hill.

I've said this before here, the role I've most coveted was Samovar (Groucho Marx in Act II and the lines and songs in the script for this character for the revue of Act I) in A DAY IN HOLLYWOOD/A NIGHT IN THE UKRAINE.

I've had a very full afternoon of video today trying to watch as much from yesterday as I could to clear off the DVR to be ready for tonight's recordings.

I began, however, with three episodes from the second disc of THE MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW, Season 3 so I could clear it from the DVD player. All warm and hilarious. I especially love "Lou's Place," where Lou and Ted go in together to buy an Irish pub and the place dies due to Lou's overaggressive attempt to be warm and welcoming.

Next stop was THE CLOSER with an involved mystery I'm very happy to say I solved.

Nice to see Doug Sills as one of the suspects.

Next was SUPERNATURAL with a bloody saga that promises more violence from the female antagonist. The show moves in two weeks to Thursday nights after SMALLVILLE.

I watched the second SCRUBS episode last night "live," but I went back today and caught up on the first episode. Michael Learned has been guest starring as a very ill patient for the last several episodes. The second episode last night will likely be her last one in this story arc.

Or, anyone, how about NON-MUSICAL roles?

I'd take Auntie Mame or Gittel Mosca in Two for the Seesaw - I love the way she says, "Yeah, h'lo?"  when answering the phone.

Perhaps someone who has a met a number of the HHW crowd could suggest a complete Kimlet cast to play "A Little Night Music". (or alternative).
