Well, you've read the notes, the notes were like the pied piper and drew rats, and now it is time for you to post until the pied cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: JUBILEE!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
I got kicked mid post
-
Kicked out rather
-
No one actually kicked me
-
Friday morning I arrived at work to find a red rose on my desk and my cubicle decorated with a Happy Birthday banner
-
Later in the day everyone said Happy Birthday and presented me with a sweet card signed by everyone and a bunch of scratch offs
-
I am now $6 richer
-
Well I have to go get bits of my body squeezed in a vise in a few hours
-
Probably why I can’t sleep
-
I hate this test
-
And a brand new one since apparently I’m on a downward slope
-
Osteoporosis testing
-
I have no idea what that entails
-
Hopefully no vises or overly long q-tips will be employed
-
To ignite we watched this version of Much Ado About Nothing on PBS
https://www.pbs.org/wnet/gperf/much-ado-about-nothing-full-episode/10194/
-
Maybe it’s just because I’m so familiar with The Kenneth Branagh directed movie version but I didn’t care for the pace of the readings,
-
The actors didn’t seem to have a sense of the comedy, just rushed through all the lines and squelched the jokes.
-
Osteoporosis testing
That is an easy test.
-
A couple of weeks ago we saw part of another version of the play, but it was during my lunch hour so I missed part of the beginning and the entire last half of the play
-
Later in the day everyone said Happy Birthday and presented me with a sweet card signed by everyone and a bunch of scratch offs
That's so sweet of your co-workers!
-
Osteoporosis testing
That is an easy test.
I’m glad to hear it
-
I am now $6 richer
Congrats, and don't spend it all in one place!
;)
-

None. You lie on a table and a "bar" goes back and forth over you.
-

And one of the ladies also gave me a Dunkin’ Donuts gift card
-
I didn’t check for how much yet

None. You lie on a table and a "bar" goes back and forth over you.
I can handle that!
-
The doctor also wants me to go for everyone’s favorite test

Well I have to go get bits of my body squeezed in a vise in a few hours
:o
~~~Vibes of All Kinds!!~~~
Aww, nice 😊
-
I knew a dog named Jane but never a cat.
-
Of course I refer to the one where someone puts a camera in your least photogenic area
I remember when it was broadcast last year.
I must have missed a post somewhere
I liked the little I saw if it , I think I will see if I can find it somewhere
-
I think the first time I ever heard of "Peer Gynt" was in the movie, Educating Rita, where (I had to look this up) Michael Caine's character said: In reply to the question "Suggest how you would resolve the staging difficulties inherent in a production of Ibsen's Peer Gynt", you have written, quote: "Do it on the radio." Unquote.
;D
Yes there is also that joy to look forward to
I REALLY need to get some sleep
Please do!!
Goodnight all
Good night, Vixmom.
-
And now, I'm finally off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
Good morning, all!
Goddaughter Charlotte and I saw this in the theatre at Lincoln Center when it was first released. It's a lot of fun but I still prefer the brilliant 1971(2?) Public Theatre version with Sam Waterston and Kathleen Widdoes.
All was good and quiet on West 82nd Street until 4:45 when Annabelle, sleeping beside me, had a violent sneezing fit and blew snot everywhere. Then Stella got under my bed and played very noisily with a brush. Annabelle calmed down and went back to sleep. Stella did not.
-
I had a dream which I barely remember now except that at one point I could see in a mirror that I wore my hair, when I had hair, in the style I worse it in my 1960s Brylcreem period.
-
I have no plans today, except to drag out the Big Ladder and nap with the kitties.
-
DR vixmom. I hope your tests go well today.
-
T.O.D.
Except for Warner Bros. cartoons, I'm not much into short films.
Obviously, my favorite is one I made back in 1964, GENESIS, which was narrated by John Carradine.
Not much market for short films.
Good morning, all.
-
Procedure vibes for vixmom!
-
This is a Saturday that almost doesn't feel like a Saturday.
Which I guess is okay, since I've already had so many extra Saturdays this year.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Procedure vibes for vixmom!
Ditto.
-
I have only seen Peer Gynt once. It was staged in two parts in a visually abstract and fairly barren production in the round. Richard Thomas was our hero. I loved both parts.
-
Three!
-
TOD 1:
The short films of Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd and Charlie Chaplin
The Red Balloon
Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge
I’m sure more will come to mind.
-
10 hours of sleep. Yay!
-
Last night's dream started with one weird little vignette, the origin of which is a mystery to me, then it became one of my fairly common themes: my house, which is never like my real house or any other place I've lived, even though sometimes in the dream it's supposed to be one of those. The main thing about this iteration was a secret passage that I hadn't used in years. I now thought it would be neat to use it, but I had trouble finding the place to enter it, and when I figured that out I couldn't remember how to get the entrance open. And then I woke up. The End.
-
I knew a dog named Jane but never a cat.
I must have missed a post somewhere
Or was that apropos of nothing?
From DR TCB last night:
There is a cat kitten at the Humane Society named Jane.
-
For the first time in week I woke up with a migraine. Keith has a headache. We are wondering if it is a coincidence or the fact our carbon monoxide/gas detector went off this morning.
-
Doors and windows are open.
-
We are the next stop from the gas department.
-
We have no idea how long that will take.
-
Good morning.
-
Our first foster cat from the county pound was named Jane. She was the mother. The kittens were all named after people from this site.
-
Vixmom, I had two of those three tests since the pandemic started. Fun.
-
Until you jogged my memory I had forgotten about that Jane and her kittens.
-
Vixmom, I had two of those three tests since the pandemic started. Fun.
Fortunately I had done two of those before the pandemic, one just before. The easy DEXA I needed to switch doctors to get in someplace for the test.
-
Someone from the gas company is here.
-
Fortunately Keith is talking to him since I can't hear much through the mask.
-
I used to like to buy a box of JUBILEEs when I went to the movies.
-
Vibes that DR JANE finds out what's wrong! That sounds scary.
-
Procedure vibes for DR VIXMOM.
-
DR TCB in a post from day before yesterday you said that you were going to hit the rack......
-
JUBILEE is Cole Porter’s best score and sparkles even more brilliantly in Elmore’s orchestrations.
-
Short movies....HA!
Last night I watched a movie that I had never seen.....but I decided to stick with it and see what it was all about.
PEPE - it was pretty bad.....some people thought that Fernandel was funny, but I am not one of them...didn't really like ...80 DAYS, but then again I'm not a David Niven fan either.....
But now I can say that I saw IT!
-
Of course I have the soundtrack that was released a few years ago by someone we all know.
-
Had a shower and feel much better to face the day now that half is over.
-
I think Mom’s new TV package includes STARZ. They’re showing Little Women tonight. We may watch that.
-
I am sitting here like so much fish, looking for ways to avoid the Big Ladder.
-
Vibes that DR JANE finds out what's wrong! That sounds scary.
It was thank you, and confusing. At first we thought it was the building fire alarm which is why we got dressed before opening windows and doors.
-
Nice guy that came from the gas company.
-
And I am listening to Dvorak.
-
We did not have a leak. The alarm must be faulty.
-
I almost wish it was something that was an easy fix after having an emergency visit.
-
In the past we had two gas leaks here that did need fixing.
-
You mean Cantinflas. I have a soft spot for Pepe. Where did you see it?
-
I'm up, I'm up - barely. Set the alarm last night, didn't go off so was awakened by knocking. This iPad has had it, I think. Just done as done can be. It's given good service - second generation, so that's how old - just looked it up - April 2012. Eight years for an Apple product is pretty good.
-
One potential guest isn't happening - oh, well. I think it might have happened if she hadn't gotten some kind of TV hosting thing that starts next week, but she's weird and it's fine. The one I really want is still neither yay or nay - we're hoping yay but it may be a last-minute thing. And the recently-set guest is already nervous about doing her number because she's who she is and that's what she does. But I had this problem with one person in the last show and we got her through it fine. I try to explain that this is what the foreseeable future is and everyone better get used to it. We'll see - I have back-up plans should she drop, but the track is done and I would not be happy.
My bits are bruised
-
But actually testing in the time of covid was actually easier than it was before
-
I had to register online yesterday, including uploading my scripts and med ID card
-
When I arrived the waiting room which holds about 30 and is usually full had only 2 other people
-
I walked in, stood on the taped”x” an arm’s each from the counter , placed my license on the counter , the masked assistant used some handheld scanner thing to scan it where it lay then directed me to take it back.
-
Took less time to do than it took me to type that
-
Then I was sent through a closed door to the women only waiting room
-
I was greeted immediately and directed to a dressing room where there was a very nice reusable shopping bag and a cotton gown in a sealed plastic bag
-
The room spelled slightly of disinfectant
-
I changed put everything in the bag and was immediately taken into the osteoporosis scan room
-
Jane that was, as you said, very easy and comfortable
-
Then I was brought immediately to the torture chamber
-
The technician who coincidentally shares my first and middle names and my birthday was lovely despite her merciless mashing machinations
-
Then I was dismissed and requested to keep the bag as a “lovely parting gift”. I was told I would be billed for the copay which I could pay by phone or online
-
The only person who touched me was my namesake and she was double masked, gloved and gowned
-
The building where this took place us about a 10 minute drive from my house
-
I had a 9:30 appointment and arrived at 9:27
-
I walked back into my house at 10:03
-
Vixdad thought I had changed my mind and not gone
-
So since we hadn’t had breakfast I made some
-
Nothing fancy today because I have to go shopping as we are out of just about everything
-
So we just had English muffins, poached eggs and sausages
-
And of course a lovely pot of hot TP Tips tea
-
Look at us
-
On page 5 and it’s only 1:31 pm EST.
-
Or is it EDT?
-
Won’t BK be pleased?
-
Well I suppose I should do my shopping
It was and it is
-
I found it on amazon, used for $42.00 New for $120.00, or $292.00
-
So I popped over to eBay and scored one for $24
-
Happy Birthday to me!
-
Good afternoon!
Back from the supermarket. I had to return a DVD of "The High Note" to the Redbox. The movie was okay--about a singer and her assistant who wants to be a record producer. Stars Diana Ross's daughter, Tracee Ellis Ross and Dakota Johnson.
-
DR Jeanne was talking about the shortage of coins the other day. I actually have quite a few since I pay for everything with credit cards. I used to need quarters for the washers and dryers in the basement, but for the last few years they take credit cards. Occasionally there's a problem with the internet so I have to use quarters then.
-
So a few days ago I went to the supermarket (Giant) with the intention of cashing in my coins in the Coinstar machine. Well, there was an electronic sign saying it was out of order. A day or two later I was going to the post office. There's a Safeway a few stores down, so I decided to bring my coins there. I went in Safeway --that Coinstar was also out of order. Yesterday I was back at Giant and looked to see if the machine was working. Now the sign said that it was full. Today when I returned my DVD I checked out the Coinstar and it appears to be working, but rather than get my coins from the trunk of my car, I decided to wait till the supermarket is less crowded. That's my exciting story for today.
Yes. I have a copy. It’s in the American Playhouse series.
-
Here’s where I ordered mine from:
https://www.broinc.com/media/
-
So I popped over to eBay and scored one for $24
However despite having done some shopping it won’t put food in the table so it’s off to the market for me
-
But I wonder
-
If we can
-
Get ourselves over to page 6 before 2:30
-
Won’t TCB be pleased when he checks in?
-
The things you can accomplish
-
When you blather on in the wee hours of the morning
-
Instead of sleeping
-
Like a regular person
-
That’s the goal my dad used to aspire we children achieve
-
Whenever one of us as being especially silly or weird or rambunctious
-
He would shout at us
-
Can’t you just be a regular person!!?
-
The answer was apparently “no”
-
But look where we are!
-
Page six reporting for duty
-
And this little piggy is going to market....
-
Saturday afternoon greetings! We are - gasp! - going to socialize this evening. We’re going to Marianne and Steve’s for a cookout with them and Sharon and Tom. Marianne is a microbiologist and she set some social distancing guidelines, so we figured we’d be OK. We’ll be outdoors at separate tables and masked except when eating. This will be a new experience for us - film at 11.
-
We’ve also been invited to a similar gathering next week at Richard’s brother’s
house deck in Cincinnati. So much excitement, I can hardly stand it.
-
Back from stuff. 100 degrees out and unbearable. I put the air on at ten before I left and it's still 76 in the house, but really seems much colder. If I shut it off it will be eighty again within ten minutes.
-
Chinese chicken salad coming soon.
-
Well, damnation! It seems, whenever I find food or treat the cats actually like, it doesn't hang around long. Thatch's Wild salmon treats are back, but Annabelle loves this Purina dry food with ocean whitefish, It's the one guarantee I can give her when she's stopped up and not eating. Well, when I tried to order more this week, Amazon, Petco, and Chewy had removed it from their websites. I just contacted Purina, and they are no longer making it.
-
Being a regular person is highly over rated.
-
Cantinflas.....Cantinflas......I don't know what I was thinking.
It was on Comcast TCM OnDemand......I think it was shown on Sammy Davis, Jr. Day on TCM earlier this week.
I didn't see a stop date....so it may be around for a week or so.
Anyone who has Comcast and recording abilities can record it, I would guess. I only have one of those things.
-
I am glad that DR VIXMOM got everything in order and that DR JANE doesn't have a leak.....so to speak.
-
You may have felt it but Uranus has gone retrograde in Taurus therefore:
When innovative Uranus goes retrograde in monetarily minded Taurus, you tend to take stock of your life in terms of what things are worth. Do you have the material possessions that you want, or is your bank balance as high as you’d like it to be?
At the same time, this transit asks you to evaluate yourself in terms of your own personal worthiness. Have you already contributed as much as you’d like to the world? And if not, how can you add more to it in the future?
-
My bits are bruised
And the newer machine are far better than the older ones, and don't need as many photos.
-
But actually testing in the time of covid was actually easier than it was before
I am surprised.
-
Took less time to do than it took me to type that
Great :)
-
Then I was brought immediately to the torture chamber
At least you were able to do the texts on the same day making it much simpler.
-
Then I was dismissed and requested to keep the bag as a “lovely parting gift”. I was told I would be billed for the copay which I could pay by phone or online
Very nice.
-
The only person who touched me was my namesake and she was double masked, gloved and gowned
Great, especially the double mask. They are too close for this one. Did they give you a second mask to wear?
-
Vixdad thought I had changed my mind and not gone
;D You were amazingly fast.
-
This will be a new experience for us - film at 11.
Have fun. We had our first social event planned for tomorrow. We set the guidelines. Since we don't want to sit outside, without shade, in 100 degree temps we have postponed for a week.
-
We’ve also been invited to a similar gathering next week at Richard’s brother’s house deck in Cincinnati. So much excitement, I can hardly stand it.
;D I know the feeling. We plan to meet friends at Fort Vancouver and sit outside and visit.
-
I am glad that DR VIXMOM got everything in order and that DR JANE doesn't have a leak.....so to speak.
Thanks. Keith has unplugged our alarms until we get our new carbon monoxide & gas detectors. The guy did such a great job of checking everything for leaks we are probably safe until they arrive.
-
We parked at Safeway and went for a walk through the old cemetery down the road. There are newer graves there as well. We like to browse cemeteries. Today we saw a marker we have never seen anywhere before. Instead of the birth year and birth death it showed the exact time of birth and the exact time of death, about 3 minutes apart :(
-
Jrand, was it letterboxed scope?
-
Chinese chicken salad was great and now we Zoom in ninety minutes. Have to turn the air off, it's really bothering me. Of course, then the heat will be really bothering me. I got it down to 75 two hours ago, shut it off and fifteen minutes later it was 78.
-
Last night we watched the blu-ray of A Study in Terror, my favorite Sherlock Holmes-Jack the Ripper film. I had owned the British DVD, which was letterboxed, and the Blu-Ray is in glorious Cinemascope. George Brown had me singing "Ta-ra-ra-boom-de-ay!" all day.
-
Tonight we hopefully have another Midsomer Murder.
-
To my great surprise Safeway had Germ-X sanitizer. The smell of Germ-X doesn't make me sick like other sanitizers do, plus it doesn't irritate my hands as much. I normally buy the 40oz size and was about to reorder it when the shit hit the fan. Since then I only saw it sold for expectorant prices online so we have been purchasing other brands.
-
Since the largest size they had was only 12oz, and it was only one per customer, I paid separately at the self checkout. The reason for this story is I got change back by paying with cash.
-
Vixmom, if I were in San Antonio, I’d have mailed you my copy.
-
If you want to wait until October and can cancel your eBay purchase, let me know.
-
Expectorant cash sounds most unseemly.
-
MR BK yes it was letterboxed 'scope......
-
Hello, everyone.
-
It was interesting to see Michael Callan doing a "Rumble" dance in a sort of West Side Story Light version - I think choreographed by Eugene Loring......
-
Now I understand why we have a nationwide coin shortage. Never mine what the Federal Reserve says, it's because DRs TCB and Kevin have been hoarding it all in their piggy banks!!
And TCB, I may take you up on your offer.
-
I did the laundry and some cleaning and am now resting. Such is life for some of us.
-
I just checked the listing and it is available until Aug 19 and it is the 158 min. version.....I think it started out as a 180 minute film.....
-
I am glad that DR VIXMOM got everything in order and that DR JANE doesn't have a leak.....so to speak.
Thanks. Keith has unplugged our alarms until we get our new carbon monoxide & gas detectors. The guy did such a great job of checking everything for leaks we are probably safe until they arrive.
Jane, I'm glad it turned out to be nothing except a faulty alarm. I've had good experiences with the gas company and will use them for repairs whenever possible. They've been courteous and very professional.
-
Yes, the 158-minute is all there is at this point. I used to cajole Nick about having Sony get to this to restore it to full length, but alas... The fellow who had the only existing full-length IB Tech/scope/stereo print died a couple of years ago.
-
Zooming in ten.
-
TTFN.
Stay cool, everyone.
Haha! If you want me to send quarters, let me know!
I wish I could see George and TCB's faces when they see how many posts there are already!
Jeopardy had a City Center category tonight. I knew all the questions.
-
Zoom done.
-
I watched DON JUAN (John Barrymore) this afternoon.
I'd never seen it before; just clips.
With th exception of Chaplin, Keaton & Lloyd, I'm not big on silent films, but this one was rather entertaining.
-
The only person who touched me was my namesake and she was double masked, gloved and gowned
Great, especially the double mask. They are too close for this one. Did they give you a second mask to wear?
No they didn’t, but my mask is 4 layers with a replaceable filter layer as well , as a 5th layer. It fits snugly under my chin and up to the bridge of my nose
-
I am sorry. The Vixter and I were the kiss of death if we visited a restaurant we had passed many times and kept saying we’d visit. It would immediately close forever as soon as we enjoyed a meal and vowed to return.
It happened with 4 restaurants .
-
The 5th one didn’t close though
It burned down
That same night
We watched the new version of Little Women tonight. I enjoyed it more the second time. Mom, however, was very confused by all of the time shifts in the story.
-
It's time for bed.
-
Eight!
-
Finishing off the audio of The Book of V, a story about Vashti, the dethroned queen from the story of Esther.
-
We parked at Safeway and went for a walk through the old cemetery down the road. There are newer graves there as well. We like to browse cemeteries. Today we saw a marker we have never seen anywhere before. Instead of the birth year and birth death it showed the exact time of birth and the exact time of death, about 3 minutes apart :(
Oh how sad
-
I'm of a mixed opinion about the book. It goes far, but probably not far enough to make it work completely.
-
If you want to wait until October and can cancel your eBay purchase, let me know.
That’s a lovely offer, John, thank you but I already received confirmation it was being shipped
-
Expectorant cash sounds most unseemly.
Usually they only want an arm and a leg
I sympathize. I didn’t finish it because I found it very annoying. I practically memorized that book when a was a kid, and I’m very particular about how the story is told and what the characters look like
I went shopping at Costco today and saw this
https://www.robertrothschild.com/products/roasted-pineapple-habanero-sauce-40-oz
-
But I only paid $7.99 for the same size bottle they are selling on the website for $15.99
-
I had defrosted two chicken breasts for our dinner and I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with them
-
I ended up browning them in a skillet in blood orange infused olive oil
-
Then I added some of this sauce and covered the skillet and let it simmer until it was done
-
Sides were local corn on the cob
-
And yellow rice mixed with a can of this
It came out quite well for an experiment
-
Finished with my viewing and listening to music.
-
Only eighty-four out - not as bad as last night.
-
House is hot but I can't do any more air today.
-
It's ten o'clock - do you know where your children are?
-
Took a break from the big Barbirolli box to listen to the little Barbirolli box of RCA and Columbia recordings. Six CDs and I'll tell you something - these recordings are all from around 1937 when he conducted for the New York Phil - and they sound AMAZING and so much better than the shellac transfers in the other set from a decade later.
-
We are, I believe, having what the wags call a lull and what the lulls call a wag.
-
And we were doing so incredibly.
-
And now everyone is having a time out.
-
Why I oughta...
-
And then I wrote...
-
Is my mind being messed with.
-
I feel there is a page nine in my future.
-
I do, I do.
-
And yet...
-
Page eight is being stubborn as all get out.
-
At long last page nine.
-
I feel there is a page ten in my future.
-
The only person who touched me was my namesake and she was double masked, gloved and gowned
Great, especially the double mask. They are too close for this one. Did they give you a second mask to wear?
No they didn’t, but my mask is 4 layers with a replaceable filter layer as well , as a 5th layer. It fits snugly under my chin and up to the bridge of my nose
:)
Keith, not knowing the story, had trouble following it so we turned it off. I was tired of explaining everything to him and didn't care if we watched anymore.
-
It's too darn hot.
-
Eighty-four outside and eighty-two inside.
Oh how sad
It was.
-
Guess I'll have to cool it down a little. Maybe I'll go take a little while while I do that, then I can shut it off when I get back and it will be cooler. Is that a cool idea?
-
Keith found a less sad but interesting marker the sparked the genealogist in him. The couple had names that fit our daughter in-laws family tree.
-
It's too darn hot.
It was only 99 here. We were home from our 2nd walk before it was that hot. Our morning cemetery walk was mostly in the shade and there was a nice breeze, same in the afternoon.
-
Eighty-four outside and eighty-two inside.
It is currently 81 outside and I am guessing 74 inside.
Is that I walk you will take or a drive? Either way enjoy it.
'night
Ended up taking a drive to Rite-Aid and since I have an unopened pack of Claritin-D I got some Mucinex-D, which will help remove some of the crud and phlegm that's been plaguing me. Also, got a small bag of crunchy Cheetos for a snack, which I'm snacking on now.
-
Good evening.
-
Wait! I apologize I must have signed into the wrong webpage. We don’t get up to page 9 on our site.
-
To my great surprise Safeway had Germ-X sanitizer. The smell of Germ-X doesn't make me sick like other sanitizers do, plus it doesn't irritate my hands as much. I normally buy the 40oz size and was about to reorder it when the shit hit the fan. Since then I only saw it sold for expectorant prices online so we have been purchasing other brands.
Did she just say, “shit?”
-
Now I understand why we have a nationwide coin shortage. Never mine what the Federal Reserve says, it's because DRs TCB and Kevin have been hoarding it all in their piggy banks!!
And TCB, I may take you up on your offer.
I am already looking for something to put them in for you.
-
For the first time in week I woke up with a migraine. Keith has a headache. We are wondering if it is a coincidence or the fact our carbon monoxide/gas detector went off this morning.
:o
-
Oh, my! We're on Page 9! :D
-
Hi, Tom.
-
Fortunately Keith is talking to him since I can't hear much through the mask.
Jane, you're supposed to wear the mask over your mouth and nose...not your ears!
;)
-
JUBILEE is Cole Porter’s best score and sparkles even more brilliantly in Elmore’s orchestrations.
Agreed!!
-
We did not have a leak. The alarm must be faulty.
Whew!
So a few days ago I went to the supermarket (Giant) with the intention of cashing in my coins in the Coinstar machine. Well, there was an electronic sign saying it was out of order. A day or two later I was going to the post office. There's a Safeway a few stores down, so I decided to bring my coins there. I went in Safeway --that Coinstar was also out of order. Yesterday I was back at Giant and looked to see if the machine was working. Now the sign said that it was full. Today when I returned my DVD I checked out the Coinstar and it appears to be working, but rather than get my coins from the trunk of my car, I decided to wait till the supermarket is less crowded. That's my exciting story for today.
My credit union has a coin counter in its lobby and if you have your coins counted, then bring the receipt to the teller and have the amount deposited into your account, there is no fee. But if you're just someone off the street and want the cash, there's a fee. I don't know how much, though.
;D. At times I even say worse when referring to this mess that is keeping us from our baby. She is six months old already.
Yes. If only we both hadn't had headaches this morning adding to our concern.
ten!!
Well, damnation! It seems, whenever I find food or treat the cats actually like, it doesn't hang around long. Thatch's Wild salmon treats are back, but Annabelle loves this Purina dry food with ocean whitefish, It's the one guarantee I can give her when she's stopped up and not eating. Well, when I tried to order more this week, Amazon, Petco, and Chewy had removed it from their websites. I just contacted Purina, and they are no longer making it.
Saturday afternoon greetings! We are - gasp! - going to socialize this evening. We’re going to Marianne and Steve’s for a cookout with them and Sharon and Tom. Marianne is a microbiologist and she set some social distancing guidelines, so we figured we’d be OK. We’ll be outdoors at separate tables and masked except when eating. This will be a new experience for us - film at 11.
Have fun. We had our first social event planned for tomorrow. We set the guidelines. Since we don't want to sit outside, without shade, in 100 degree temps we have postponed for a week.
I'm going to my parents' again tomorrow, just to hang out and play cards. It's supposed to get up to 98° here in Tumwater! :o
I actually have a gallon jug with coins in it. I was going to wait until it was filled in probably another couple of years, but I guess I should cash it in now. :-\
Yes, the 158-minute is all there is at this point. I used to cajole Nick about having Sony get to this to restore it to full length, but alas... The fellow who had the only existing full-length IB Tech/scope/stereo print died a couple of years ago.
Darn.
-
You see, you see - I felt there was a page ten in my future and there was. I shall now change the topic.
-
I wish I could see George and TCB's faces when they see how many posts there are already!
It was the equivalent of :o !
;)
