DR CILLA LIZ is on her way to The Big Easy.

She's going to DAW's house?

I didn't get much sleep at all last night.  I had the alarm set for 5:15 AM.  I usually don't get up that early and since I didn't get to bed until after 12:30 I was very concerned I wouldn't wake up.  So, I woke up about every hour and looked at the clock.  After about 4:30 I didn't get back to sleep. Now I've had 4 glasses of ice tea. I don't think I'll be sleeping today, lol

I hate that.  Setting multiple alarm clocks will sometimes help me sleep.

Hi Ginny!

Are you back from the eyeglass expedition?  How did it go?

Quite smoothly - thanks for asking.  She selected a new pair of regular glasses (frames and lenses) and left her sunglass frames to have new lenses put in them.  Vanessa (the optician) and I had to gush a bit to convince my aunt that the lavender colored frames really did look better than the black ones.  Taking my aunt out isn't as much fun as taking her sister (my mom), but today went at well as could be expected.

I missed DR MBARNUM's work vibe request.....wha' happened?

He didn't request vibes, he said his job might be cut back to 3 days a week.

I am waiting for the local real estate lady to take me to lunch. I wonder if she is going to try to talk me into selling my house. I hope not. She'll be wasting her time.

You make it sound as if there is only one real estate lady in your local area. ;D  I find it difficult to image in today’s market a real estate person courting a potential seller, buyer yes, not a seller.  Is this in reality a friend taking you out to lunch?

Good news:  chimney repair people are here.  Roof is ordered and will hopefully be in on Monday.

Bad news:  my bossa nova drummer is being a complete idiot about our planned upcoming CD (which I now think I will not do, at least not with him).  He doesn't think it's necessary to license things through Harry Fox (WRONG) and he also thinks it's "fair" to keep all proceeds from any CDs he sells himself (instead of splitting them amongst the band members).  What a moron (technical term).

I forgot to send you my very best

Well, I was beginning to think Joan Crawford and Walter Huston were about to traipse into our bedroom, but the RAIN has stopped for a moment.

You could always ask Val Kilmer to part the waters.

Back from the long jog, which I must admit, wasn't much of a jog, more of a power walk.  Rather pathetic, but I awoke to the news that my mastering engineer has been waiting for ME to send HIM and edit list for the soundtrack.  Last week, I sent him a road map but there was miscommunication - I thought he was just going to assemble it, and he thought I was going to send him a complete edit list.  I now have to do that and it's going to take all damn day and night and I am really not happy about it.

I could of course just post a list of everything Delerue did in the 1960s, then I'd be sure to have guessed correctly.  ;)

I am pretty sure our leak is due to enormous moss buildup on the west side (isn't that "wrong," mossically speaking?) and the chimney guys have graciously agreed to sweep off all the moss for a little under the table bribe.  :)

Here it is Wednesday already.

I received by Olivier RICHARD III Criterion DVD in the mail today, along with the Collector's Edition of BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS and two sets of Drive In Movies on DVD.  I also purchased for $5, Oliver Stone's final final FINAL cut of Alexander running 3 1/2 hours....it is NOT the Theatrical version OR the Director's Cut...but a third go around by the director....and his promised FINAL pass at the story.....

Good Afternoon!

I'm back from a run to the bank, as well as a nice lunch at Panera.  It was nice to get out of the house for a bit, as well as having something "healthy" to eat - a grilled chicken salad.  -It's sort of "depressing" that even after my parents' recent medical bouts, that I have to head out of the house in order to find something healthy to eat.

Alas, after the short drive to and from the bank, I don't think a drive up to DC tonight would be in my best interest - nor of the people driving alongside me.  I think I'm dealing with some sort of sinus/ear "thingy", and the drive I just took sort of confirmed that.  I just didn't feel "right" and secure while driving.  At least I can Twitter along with Spike and the rest of the "Top Chef" fans during tonight's finale.
