Good morning, all! I love the quiet of the City after a huge snow. I have yet to hear the sound of a snow shovel scraping against concrete this morning. And the City is beautiful covered in snow. I'm listening to Haydn's "Mass in Time of War" and enjoying the feeling of beng snowed in.
I was going to hit the recording office today, but I think I'll stay in and work on Toyland notes at the computer instead.
As DR MBarnum reported, I watched the Bridie Murphy-inspired THE UNDEAD last night, I loved this film as a kid, and I think it holds up fairly well, given the fact that the special effects are cheaper than my porn. The dialogue is poor man's Olde English, but the story's pretty well told, and Dorothy Neumann's makeup as old Meg Maud is plain peculiar enough to keep the viewer fascinated.
As for the beloved Allison Hayes? Huge, humongous bazooms and a lot of sincere acting. I think she always had a proclivity to sneer her dialogue, but she has two levels of sneer: hard and soft. I loved Pamela Duncan, who was better than I remembered, but the joke on me is that I have always thought for the past 40 years that Alison had played Pamela's role.
So, I'll start a TOD: are there film performances you've seen again and realized you've confused credits?
