Good Afternoon!

Yes, I've been errant and truant and truant and errant.... yadda-yadda-yadda...  In the meantime...

The weather in NYC over the past couple of days has been simply glorious, and I've been spending a good chunk of time further exploring Central Park.  As they say in Avenue Q - There is life outside your apartment.

I'm also finally coming out of my post-Lestat phase.  I'll spare you all the dreary and sordid details, but things are starting to get back on track, and it looks like I have some nice projects lining up over the next couple of months.  -Yes, I know, DR TCB, you're still waiting.  ;) - But the wait will soon be over.

DR elmore - I look forward to your return to NYC.

To those Hainsies and Kimlets gathering in Tacoma, Have a Diet Coke for me!

And for everyone - Vibes and Kisses.

Laters...

Those in the LA area who are NOT attending the Cabaret on Friday night, might want to attend the Crue Fest on Saturday night - a cancer fund raiser at the Whiskey A GoGo.  One of the bands playing will be Rok Hollywood - featuring my close personal friend Doug as the lead singer.

I have returned from lunch with George, Jane, and Keith.  I have had the pleasure of meeting George on several occasions, but it was wonderful to see him again.  This was, however, my first chance to meet Nurse Jane and DH Keith (Jane's DH, not mine).  Jane was every bit as wonderful as I knew she would be, and Keith is quite delightful.

In honor of our out-of-town visitors, Tacoma was on its best behavior.  The sun was shining brightly, the mountain was out in all of its glory, and the bluest skies you've ever seen were in Tacoma.

Jane had the Blackened Salmon Caesar Salad, George had the cheeseburger, Keith had the halibut and chips, and I had the pan-fried oysters.

We spent many long hours dissing all of the people at this site; except, of course, those people who actually post here.

Well, as I was dusting a book shelf this afternoon (something I rarely do!! LOL!) I noticed that that a lovely photo of Miss Allison Hayes that was in a frame on the shelf was turning strange colors...well, I tried to take Allison's photo out of the frame...and only part of the photo was removable...part of it is now stuck to the glass...lesson learned.

....Next on my list of things to do will be to remove valued move photos and autographed pictures from their glass frames.

Had a nice time with my mom, my sis, and my brother Jeff today. We laughed and ate and shopped.

And now my frenzy is over.

I got an EMail from "WhiteSheik" - I assumed this was a condom ad.

Glad you said that, I hadn't received and email, but hadn't checked my spam. There it was. Whitesheik is now an approved sender

No, that certain parts of Miss Allison easily get stuck to the glass.

Sister-in-law Jo Ann and I just watched the Kelly McGillis-Harrison Ford film WITNESS on HBO.  I had forgotten how wonderful it is.

Sounds like the Tacoma gathering was fun.  I'm waiting for photos.

And I just watched Melanie Griffith & Harrison Ford in Working Girl on WE.  Sort of like the movie we saw today, only 20 years ago!

Yes, indeedy!  DR Ginny and I had a wonderful time.  DR Ginny met Miss Julie Freeman, daughter of my dear friends Alan and Lilianne Freeman, who was working at the concession stand.  The movie was fun, a different tone from the novel, with lots of plot and character chaqnges.  I liked the cast, especially Ms Streep and Mr Stanley Tucci, a lot.

My dad has just stepped in so I will now step out.

I hope everyone going to Tacoma has a wonderful time!  Post photos.

DR Elmore, I loved the movie. You say the book is different....would you recommend it?

Paul, who is a friend of Patricia Field, keeps telling people to go to the movie. But he keeps calling it DEATH BY PRADA....lol I have this image of someone laying on the ground with "Prada" imbedded in her head

Ginny - airfares are looking decent right now (well relatively decent) I'm planning to book my flight for October. What dates are you going to be there?
