Let me tell you about my Friday adventure department: I am just coming down off the most stupendous adrenaline rush I've had in a long time. And not in a good way.

I got back from the store this morning and had let BeeGee and Blanche out in the front yard when I suddenly heard this huge crash and came out to the kitchen to see a large black dog that at first thought might be BeeGee (the lights weren't on), but almost immediately discovered was some other HUGE black lab that had literally broken through our garage screen door. The dog looked like it had just been hit by a car, and started madly running through our house, knocking stuff over, and both throwing up and having diarrhea as I chased after it trying to get it under control.
This dog was so strong that I (no milquetoast) could literally not hold onto it. I managed to get it outside again with only the most Herculean of efforts. At which point ANOTHER dog came ambling up. I was trying to call Animal Control, but of course no one was answering the emergency line!!
The first dog was so strong I could not get him to hold still long enough to get his license number off of his collar. In the meantime one of my neighbors came running over and said she thought the dogs lived up the street, so we went up there and, believe it or not, they had completely knocked over a six foot pretty new wood fence to get out of their yards. We left message after message at the people's house, but of course no answer.
So, with great difficulty, I got my dogs inside and brought these two loose dogs back and fenced them in my yard while I waited for Animal Control to pick them up.
Oy. Maybe even double oy.
