Not if the kitchen is closed and it is an appreciation for the best patrons who will be happy to have a friendly place to go for the holiday and will in return provide much revenue for the rest of the year....sort of a loss leader
Nope - can't serve booze if the kitchen is closed!
(And the dining rooms are always packed with reservations).
The loss leaders are the weeknight reduced rate meals.
Plus, in a small resort town, off-season, there are few "orphans".
