Also, a very happy and sunny "good afternoon" to all of the assorted studlies, lovelies, hainsies, kimlets, DRs, and the G.P. ......

I just finished picking about 7 pounds of beautiful apricots (variety - "Katy") , and tomorrow they shall be transformed into wonderfully delicious, homemade apricot jam.  Yuuuuuummmmm !!!

Yes, but think what you could do with them tonight!

The plots on UGLY BETTY are flying fast and furious.  I'm so glad it was tonight and not last night.

Isn't this from the actual Hello Tommy script  :)

Or was it Mr. Sullivan in the actual script?  I get confused.

Back from a great lunch, and I'd say that the excellent vibes and xylophones had some effect.  I can't go into any details, but I can pretty much say that The Brain From Planet X will, one way or the other, be back onstage in June 2008 here in Los Angeles.  But, the meeting was great in other ways, too.

That is great news bk...

DR MattH, I think DR FJL explained why he was a bit upset.  I think basically in a nutshell it is odd that alison let neve campbell's character die.  I mean obviously she tried to warn her.  But she did not camp out in front of her hotel room.  And it was basically implied that she died and then alison was vindicated. Like it was a fair trade.

I watched the LOST special (no spoilers). It was on here at 7pm.

It was basically just a recap. But it was done by the producers.  ANd they sort of just reminded us of where we were to this point.  I like this kind of show. Because it gives us insight into what the producers are thinking. Plus sometimes they clarify things that they think are obvious, but that i did not realize (or did not remember).

Really looking forward to next week's finale.

RE: last night's MEDIUM

I'm not totally sure how i feel about the finale. There were a lot of things i liked. But some things that bugged me.

First, re: what DR FJL said about them letting neve campbell's character die.  I was a bit surprised that alison didn't prevent it. However Neve was warned so many times.  To me it actually made little sense that she wouldn't pay attention to the warnings. I think any normal person would. Even if they didn't believe in alison's abilties.

I guess i'm not so surprised that neve's character died (i mean it was inevitable since she knew her killer and would have let him in even if she was being cautious).  I guess i just would have liked it to happen (the death) but still have her either believing alison or at least taking precautions.

The other thing that bugged me is that usually these cases are not usually so obvious.  I don't know about anyone else, but to me from the beginning of the show it was COMPLETELY OBVIOUS that Jason Priestly's character was the killer.  It's never that obvious. But this time it was.

I was also annoyed that joe was "fired" and that his lawyer "dumped" him. I just don't see those things happening.
I would have liked to see that play out the way it was going last week.

I did like the ending though with alison marching in and telling them what was what.  Although since she had already dreamt part of that scene i wonder why she never told her boss that his "friend" was going to take over. I know she has to be careful. But i would have thought she would have told him.

I can't believe we will have to wait 8 months to see how alison is received now. I wonder if they will continue it from where they left off. Or just take us 8 months into the future.

I guess that she will be redeemed. But will she now work out in the open?

What I really wonder is if this is how the real Allison Dubois was "outed"?  And did her husband really live through an office shooting and get fired?  Those are the sorts of questions that I wonder about.

Well....with gasoline now at $3.49 per gallon and the theatre 35 miles away (one way) - I may not be auditioning for A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM after all.

Time will tell.

I also received the Tyrone Power Box Set today, and watched SON OF FURY....nothing about Frances in the "interview" section....it's as if she doesn't exist - but she sure does a nice job in the movie....although her performance wasn't mentioned by DR RLP or DR MATTH when they watched the movie....

If I am working, it would be no problem, but if I am in a play, I work fewer hours....it is a conundrum.   8)

Thanks, DR Cillaliz, and congratulations on your furniture dealings.  I still think you'll probably have to pick up a few essentials in NYC in early October?

Are you still going in October?  I'm thinking about it.  A little is going to depend on how the summer goes, but I will have enough points and miles by then so that it wouldn't cost me too much.

DR RonP, I think if people mention they have not seen a show then everybody here tries to put spoiler space. But if you definitely mention it then I think it reminds people!

I know I usually put spoiler space. But if i had known that you hadn't watched yet (being a finale and all) i would have been even more careful.  Once people get crazy posting about something here it's hard to control!

Re: jordin from AI being fat.

Does anyone know how tall she is or what size?  When she stands next to ryan she looks twice his size. I always assumed she was really tall and add heels to that.

I can't figure out what size she is though (10?).  She is very broad. But not fat. Although definitely not skinny.

It's interesting that people are obcessed with weight. Yet none of the final girls were skinny.

RE: VERONICA MARS cancellation.

Can i just say that I the people at the CW really annoy me.

The head Dawn Ostroff basically told a room full of people that Veronica Mars was probably cancelled but there was another show with kristin and creator rob thomas that was being discussed.

Yet when Rob Thomas was asked if this was true, he said he has never even heard of this!

Sorry need to vent. This is one of my favorite shows. :(
