DR Ron Pulliam, rent this SHAKESPEARE RETOLD; Damian Lewis is hysterical and cute as a button as Benedick.  The adaptation is marvelous, and now I can't wait to see James McAvoy as Macbeth, a play with which I feel quite at home these days.

Finished the last two episodes of DIRT. I had forgotten some of the plot developments, so it was fun revisiting them again.

Then I watched all of the bonus features on the last disc in the set. Not that there was much of interest there. But I got it all finished.

I had some time before prime time TV started, so I went to TCM-On Demand, and started watching that WILLIAM WELLMAN/MAN WHO MADE THE MOVIES episode. Only got about 15 minutes of it watched, but I'll finish it tomorrow while I'm fixing and eating lunch.

GHOST WHISPERER had a very touching story that had me teary-eyed by the end. Well done holiday-themed episode.

MOONLIGHT had an excellent episode tonight filled with its now-expected chills and tinges of romance. A very bittersweet story of lost love that was very involving.

Then I watched last night's Christmas-themed SUPERNATURAL. It was a creepy episode with some very sad flashbacks to Sam and Dean's youth, and a lovely coda to the episode. Nicely done, guys!

Tomorrow, I'll watch some of LOST on Blu-ray and continue into the evening with it. At around 8 or 8:30, I'll watch HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX on Blu-ray. I won't be able to wait any longer.

Good Evening!

I'm back from Mary Poppins...

Before the show, I was able to meet up with Alexandra and her grandparents, Carlos and Theresa, as Westway Diner for some dinner.  It was great seeing Carlos and Theresa again - it's literally been years since we've been in the same room at the same time.  We had quite good meals - and it seems they started baking their own bread rolls!.   -And we ended up sitting in a booth next to Emily Skinner too.

Mary Poppins was good tonight - although, I felt that about half the audience was comatose.  After the show, I was able to take them backstage and on-stage for a bit.  Since they had a Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS winning bidder in the house tonight - she got to conduct the "Supercal" Bows - they were letting everyone spend a bit more time on stage, as well as look at the set a bit closer.  Good timing.

Alexandra also got to meet the Alexandra and Matthew - tonight's Jane and Michael Banks - as well as Rebecca Luker (BK - She sends her best), and Mary Poppins herself, Ashley Brown.

On the way back to their hotel, Alexandra notice the big Toys'R'Us store in Times Square.  And she wanted to go in.  And since they had started the later Holiday hours, well...  No purchasing was done, but she did do some scouting for later.  ;)

Tomorrow, they'll be seeing the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, and then Uncle Jojo will most likely take them down to Grand Central for the Kaleidoscope Show, as well as Bryant Park for some ice-skating.  -Although, Uncle Jojo is still not sure whether or not he'll attempt to ice-skate himself.  ;)

Yes, 3DDiffusion, you'll be the FIRST - the money is being transfered to paypal as we speak but it takes a few days - the NYMF check was very late in coming and, of course, had to clear my bank.  But, never fear, you will be the FIRST to be repaid - the very, very FIRST.

ABC’s ‘Lost’ Is to Return, and ‘Grey’s’ Will Move

LOS ANGELES — ABC announced on Friday that it would increase the reality programming on its schedule by more than 50 percent, beginning next month. The shake-up of the network’s ratings-leading prime-time schedule is a result of the extended writers’ strike.

ABC will also temporarily remove “Grey’s Anatomy,” its highest-rated series and one of the most profitable franchises on network television, from its normal slot on Thursdays at 9 p.m. Beginning on Jan. 31, that spot will be filled by “Lost,” which will return for an eight-episode run. “Grey’s,” which will largely be in reruns, may be broadcast on Friday or Saturday night.
