OMG, did I actually just hear the line "It's up to America to decide who can not be made into a supermodel" - I mean, doesn't America have enough responsibility already?

But isn't that show on tomorrow night?

Is anybody planning on watching the new BIG BROTHER starting on Tuesday?

Apparently the twist this year is that each person in the house had to undergo some type of testing. And they are being paired with their "soulmate". They will have to sleep in the same bed as this soulmate, win HOH together, do everything together and i think even be evicted together.

There is one gay couple. And i think 16 people total.

http://www.realitytvworld.com/news/cbs-reveals-big-brother-9-cast-identities-and-season-twist-details-6500.php

As always, I will be watching BIG BROTHER...but I will have to tape the first weeks episodes and watch when I return from vacation.

Enjoyed the line on the Supermodel show "It's like a fraternity, only everyone's really good-looking" - or something understated like that.

Well, I think I am going to go ahead and just get ready for bed now, and wake up at 6:00 and finish packing for my trip. -I've sort of been getting up early anyway the past couple of nights due to street noises, car alarms, and whoever lives on the third floor stomping down the stairs and slamming the front door to get to work in the morning...  Well, I guess I should at least set aside my clothes before going to bed.

TCB, a mechanical is the per-song per-copy fee you pay to record someone else's material.  I did get an answer from Harry Fox (the company that handles it): 9.1 cents per song per copy (if the song is under 5 minutes).  So if you have 1000 CDs pressed, that's $91.00 per song.

No, that's completely inaccurate - I hope THEY didn't tell you that!  You only pay a mechanical on CDs SOLD not pressed.  If you press 1000 CDs and sell 100 of them, then the mechanical is $9 and change.  And when the HELL did the mechanical jump from 6.5 cents to over 9???

Perhaps I shall take one more peek at today's pages, then perhaps I'll print them out or perhaps wait until morning to do so.

Australian tenor. He was Rudolfo in Baz Luhrmann's original 1950s staging of LA BOHEME. He was in the American premiere of Conrad Susa's opera LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES at San Francisco Opera.

That's more like his 1990s staging of "La Boheme."  Luhrmann was born in 1962.  Hobson was born in 1960.  The DVD of the Sydney Opera presentation of "La Boheme" (re-realized and brought to Broadway several years ago) is from the 1993 Australian TV broadcast.

I suspect Shirley MacLaine could offer Larry some defense.

Today is the first day that the outbreak on my arm has looked like it is starting to heal.  Most of the infection looks like it is going away.  The wound itself is still pretty disgusting, but I am feeling positive that I may be near the end of the first outbreak.

Great news!!

I asst. MD'd that show in 2007 - I hope you like it, it was tons of fun to put together!

I enjoyed it very much...but it is a weird little show.  Like BK is always saying, a show (review-types) have to have a point, and I'm not sure what the point was. ::) Otherwise, great music, fabulous women (I knew four out of the six) and it was funny. :)

The word on Applause on the chat board was that it was one of the worst Encores! shows ever, if not the worst.  And not because of Miss Ebersole, but because (mostly) of Miss Kathleen Marshall.  This woman was barely a choreographer, let alone a director.
