Larry - It does look like Maureen can get you and Skip house seats for GLASS MENAGERIE.  Skip wants to go on a matinee.  Does Sunday April 13 matinee at 3 p.m. sound like a possibility?  (It's an 80-minute train trip to Red Bank, by the way, but the theater is two short blocks from the train station once you're in red Bank.)

DVD=nada, work's been busy, so it's supper on the couch, news and L&O and snoozetime; music restricted to car CD,BEN FRANKLIN IN PARIS< PACIFIC 1880,mozart violin concertos, and with all the positive buzz on the Lincoln Center South Pacifi, I listened to Mary and Ezio en route to work this am; I might even use my tax rebate to hit NYC, IF I can get an SP seat and cheap airfare; Also footlights is having a sale, so it looks like I can get a replacement copy of BK's Burt Bacharach anthology, the cd of which somehow disapppeared from the jewel case: I prayed to St Anthony but even he couldnt help me find it, so I'll just be glad there's a chance to buy a new copy as I think it was one one BK'ws best.

I will say this. I did not find a "wow" with 10 minutes to go. They had been promoting that someone on the boat who we would not expect would shock us.  And frankly the person they showed was the most obvious choice. Besides being in the credits, and knowing he would eventually come back, i think many people had been speculating that it would be him.

I will say though that the end "wow" made me cry. They were clever to say that we would find out the "last of the oceanic 6". But they never said last one or last two. When it was revealed that jin's flashforward was really a flashback i cried. They really did some great editing to make it seem like it was the future. So sad. Hopefully he won't die for a while at least.

I am happy that the baby doesn't die. BUt now i think every moment with sun and jin will be emotional. I'm guessing that the preview for next week is not about him (that would be too obvious).

It's funny but i had been trying to figure out in my mind who the person on the boat would be that we would never expect to see again. i know how clever the writers are. So i thought it would be totally shocking. At least it will get more interesting for sayid in the coming weeks. If they can't interact with others on the island at least we might get some interesting story.

end of spoilers

And the word of the day is: PANTOGRAPH!

My father bought me one of those when I was about 12 - I think I still have it, but haven't used it for years!

Colder and wetter tonight, tomorrow.  Colder Sunday and Monday.

Good morning!

It started off a bit overcast earlier this morning, but the clouds have moved on and now it's bright with plenty of sunshine warming up to about 70 today. It is supposed to rain tonight, but no sign of it right now.

Sorry for not wishing you break a leg wishes yesterday, DR George. I had it in my head that you were doing full dress rehearsals and opening tonight. So sorry to have missed adding my voices to others. Hope the rest of the run goes well for you.

Well, Fox is premiering THE RETURN OF JEZEBEL JAMES tonight in a graveyard timeslot for Fox shows. It's gotten horrendous reviews, and I suspect it won't be around for very long. Thankfully, they didn't put NEW AMSTERDAM on Friday night.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And so far, I've received at least 20 text messages from various people.  Some were to say, "Hello, I'm in town this weekend."  Others were asking about a show they saw last night.  And one asked, "So, where should we eat in the financial district."  ;)

I got THE GOOD SHEPHERD as a Christmas present but haven't (as yet) had time to watch it. HBO-HD premeires the movie this Saturday night in high def, but I think I'll have to watch this DVD first since it WAS a gift. If I like it sufficiently, I'll record the high def version and watch it again in that form.

My friend John and I went to get doughnuts this morning. Imagine our surprise that the Krispy Kreme place near my house and closed its doors. So we headed down South Boulevard to Dunkin' Donuts and had our breakfast there. They seemed to be doing very steady business.

DR T Punk, I also adored VERONICA MARS during its (too brief) three season run, and I've bought all three season sets (all at great bargain discounts recently) to rewatch the whole run at some future date.

I am definitely going to record this since it's done by the writers of THE GILMORE GIRLS (which i loved).

Thanks all for the suitcase vibes.  It arrived at 11:20pm last night. We were all sound asleep and the deliveryman hadn't spoken to me to tell me he was coming, so not only did the doorbell wake me out of a sound sleep, it scared the bejesus out of me. But all is well.

DRs SWW and dB - Wiggles is adorable.  Thanks for the photos, and for your volunteer work!  :)

DR Cillaliz - glad you arrived safely.  Sorry your clothes didn't.  Wait.  That's not how I meant it.   :-\

Welcome back, DR Brettyspaghetti!  Can we call you DR BS for short?  ;)

Congratulations to DR TPunk!  I have no idea who "Mimi" is, unless they've replaced Guys and Dolls with that Puccini opera...

I only have a minute right now - we're going to have breakfast then go to Mexico. I'm on my dad's computer. I haven't been able to get on the high speed wireless I was using yesterday, if I can't get on it later I'll hook up to the modem and do it the old fashioned way
