DR Ann - Piano tunings seem to run anywhere from $75-150 now - no matter which part of the country you're in. However, some tuners have started offering deals if you pay for a certain number of tunings all at once. Steve's piano tuner comes in every four months. He paid for two years of tuning up front, and ended up saving about $25 per tuning. Not a bad deal.

*Sometimes you can get a break on the price if the tuner you call happens to have an apprentice. Since the tuning will take a little longer, they sometimes drop the price for the "inconvenience".

I have absolutely no idea what is up with Kelly Wearstler's hair and wardrobe this season. It's truly puzzling. Just take it off. Now. Regardless of how your back feels when you get up. Inevitably, your back will feel worse tomorrow after your jog, even if it felt "fine" beforehand.

There were a series of TV movies and "regular" movies that were being filmed in Richmond over the period of about a year and a half. It turned out that either Kyra or Kevin was working on one of them, and usually back to back. So, both Kevin and Kyra became regulars at the two restaurants down the street from my apartment. Kevin would also sometimes break out his guitar and play an impromptu set, and if his brothers happened to be traveling through, then the "Bacon Brothers" would make an appearance too. And Mr. Bacon like his hamburgers too!

*And, DR edisaurus may be able to confirm or "deny" this, but I'm also thinking that the first season of "The Closer" shot some exteriors here in Richmond.

And, remember, DR elmore has now lost 24+ pounds. And in just a matter of a few weeks. No jogging involved. A three mile walk is a good rough equivalent to a one mile run. And if you power walk, it could actually be the same as a good run.

*And when was the last time you changed your shoes? Have you checked the wear patterns on your soles lately? Worn out shoes can cause major back problems. -Trust me on that one - I know from experience.
