I spent the vast majority of the afternoon on the Blu-ray of TINKER BELL. Showing us the origins of the fairy and her role in the world of Pixie Hollow in Never Land, it's a moderately amusing and entertaining animated-for-home film. The CGI is very colorful but, of course, with nothing like the budget of THE INCREDIBLES or NEMO, it can't look as good as Pixar films do. Still, it was pleasant, and I'm sure little girls will love it.
Some star power in the roles of the fairies: Mae Whitman plays Tink, but as her pals there are America Ferrera (UGLY BETTY), Kristin Chenoweth, Lucy Liu, Raven-Symoné, and Anjelica Huston as the Fairy Queen. Jane Horrocks plays Fairy Mary who's the head tinker fairy, and Jesse McCartney plays Terence who dispenses pixie dust (looks like they're setting him up to become Tink's boy friend in a later adventure.)
