TOD: When I saw the 25th revival of West Side Story, both Riff and Tony were out that night, and I saw the understudies, who I thought were fabulous. I didn't realize until I was going through my Playbills a few years ago that the Tony I saw was Brent Barrett, also known hereabouts as the Sexiest Man Alive, and the Riff was Jerry Kolker, also known hereabouts as What ever happened to Jerry Kolker?
So you see, some of us do read the notes, BK, so you needn't get all tetchy.
First of all, Brent Barrett is known as the "World's Sexiest Man Alive" and secondly, could your Jerry Kolker be the same Jerry Colker who co-wrote the musical, Three Guys Naked From The Waist Down, with the lovely Michael Rupert?
Yes. And yes. But why limit BB to the
world?
My memory of Jerry Colker:
When I went to the first meeting of my class in the Lehman Engel BMI Workshop, and we were picking composer-lyricist teams for our first assignment, I was disappointed to learn that Jerry Colker was a lyricist, not a composer. Because he was hot. Spelled H. O. T. Not just
hot, but
!!‼ HOT !!‼Well, Jerry never came back to Workshop after that first day.

He got the part of Lewis in
Pippin where Michael Rupert was playing Pippin, and went thence to
3 Guys and thence to
Whatever Happened to Jerry Colker? Status
