While I ate lunch, I watched last night's FLASHPOINT. It was a rerun, but since I was late coming to the show, it was new to me.  Good episode with Colm Feore as the primary guest star.

Listening to the "new" West Side Story recording.  Was it really necessary??

Yes, I think so.  The original was recorded before most of the listening public was even born.  Was it really necessary for you to buy it?  That you will have to decide.

Then I watched another episode from the NCIS box set. In this one, Tony is sent to Baghdad to investigate a murder. It was a contract killing with the perp back in Washington. Good episode.

And the new recording uses a real orchestra with no sythesizers and the original orchestrations (or at least they only list the original orchestrators).  That's got to count for something. :)

A second NCIS episode found Ziva undercover trying to find a killer targeting women who were unfaithful to their Marine hubsna ds serving overseas. A very good, very poignant episode.

The first time that I was on the inner-web was in the mid-1990s for work.  It was mainly for e-mail, but the library system built its own website and shortly thereafter, I got www access for my home.  Actually, it was when I was living with my sister and I got to use one of her AOL account screennames.  We had that for a couple of years, then she decided to not use AOL anymore.  We then got separate accounts through the cable system...attbi.com was the domain at the time.  Eventually that became Comcast and I've been with Comcast ever since.  I've had cable Internet for so long (especially at work) that I still find it hard to imagine still having dial-up service.  Of course, there's the price, but that's a separate issue. ;)

DR DAW the scariest part of that article was the director's comments in the last paragraph.

I too am glad that the Bollywood strike has ended.

Statistics show however that while the strike put 4 actors out of work, it stifled the efforts of 106 dancers and 39 choreographers.

As for eBay...I don't remember how I found out about eBay or purchasing through the Internet, in general.  I remember the early days of eBay and not being able to "watch" anything.  You had to either bid or bookmark the page.  And when they finally did introduce "watching," you could only watch 20 items at a time.  It was like a drug.  Ooo!!!  I want that...and that...and that!  As for the very first thing that I ever actualy got from eBay... ::) This is a public site.  'Nuff said.

And I don't even smoke!

But one item that I won very early in my eBay experinces that I love (and still have) was a set of 36 slides from 1975 of The Manhattan Transfer in concert (it looks like a small cabaret setting) that I got from the photographer.  When I told this story before, I think Vixmom said she dated him!  His first name was Gordon but I can't remember his last night, right now.

Vixmom...does this sound familiar or am I totally wrong??

Yes, as an attempted Cast Recording Completest (or whore in some circles), it was necessary.

Well, most WSS recordings are done with limited keyboards, at least the ones I have. (see above statement)  :)

Yes, everyday! And what I see is far from beautiful, really!
Or, if that's what beautiful is, I've been told lies!! >:( ;)

Oh ... Gavin Creel is nominated for a Tony! Yeah!

Trying to deal with my dad.  Things could have been so easy and smooth if the help that was offered after surgery last year, or after the hospital stay this year, were taken.  But he had to be stubborn and do it all himself, and it is not working his way.

I might not post much on days I'm busy with that after work.

Other than that, it's Saturday.   ;D

There were absolutely beautiful white puffy clouds in the sky this morning and early afternoon.
Not possible to be anything be cheerful when I was on the freeway with a view like that.
