SWEET INSPIRATION

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were sweet and had some small modicum of inspiration, and now it is time for you to post until the sweet and inspired and decidedly peculiar cows come home.

Good morning, all! Day Two in the studio, and I think it should go smoothly. We have two sings, Mr Ron Raines in the morning session and in the afternoon one Mr Aaron Lazar of A TALE OF TWO CITIES and the revival of A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC. I think the day will go relatively smoothly.

When I got home last night, I posted on HHW, caught up on the posts, ordered some Chinese food, watched three episodes od IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA, talked on the phone to Bruce Pomahac for around 30 minutes, and turned off the lights at 10. Even with the ear plugs, the Oaf was quite noisy around 12:30 when he woke me up, and less noisy when I checked the clock at 3:58am to learn at what tme of the night he was wondering about the apartment. He doesn't settle for a minute; there are lots of footsteps pacing around and I wonder if he's stoned or there are several people. He not only pisses me off but he gives me the creeps.

It's 7:15 am, and I have to make the bed, have some breakfast, and prepare my lunch for the studio. The subways were running quite slowly, so I may leave here earlier than I usually do.

Up early. We're playing bells this morning at church. Should be interesting since I've been on vacation the past two weeks and haven't rehearsed.

Dessert from last night. It was called Romance, and a fine Romance it was. Chocolate ganache torte with a coconut-tapioca cream and a vanilla creme anglaise on top.

I forgot to tell DR JRand60 that Zak showed up in a nice jacket and slacks, no lion skin, sword or sandals.

We will probably take a trip uptown today. Anthony needs a Michael's Craft Store fix and there is one in Manhattan at 99th Street and Columbus Avenue.

We will have turkey meatloaf with green beans for dinner tonight.

Last night I watched GUN CRAZY on TCM.  I had read much about this film for many years, but had never seen it.  It is most interesting and entertaining......John Dall & Peggy Cummins as a kind of late 40's Bonnie & Clyde.

DR JMK - Peggy is a knockout and reminds me so much of Frances in many of her scenes.....here are some excerpts......

She is particularly Frances-like in this scene starting at about 6:50

I need to get dressed and get moving. I'm going to meet my sister at the mall.

First I am going to attempt to do some hooping. I had to stop for a month when my back was getting better. For some reaon even after my back mostly stopped hurting the hooping was putting pressure on my lower back and did not feel good.

So now I need to start getting back into it.

I wonder if the same teams that struggled last week on TAR will be in the bottom again? It's always interesting to see if the same teams have trouble.  Hopefully it will be other good show.

I caught a few minutes of that last night, too.   ;D  But I've seen it many times.  The weird thing is when you search for FF on eBay, GUN CRAZY comes up a lot.  Not sure why.

Last night, I watched a motion picture on dvd entitled A COUNTESS FROM HONG KONG.  In spite of its credentials, I was sorely disappointed.  Charles Chaplin directing, Marlon Brando, Sophia Loren, Tippi Hedren, Sydney and Geraldine Chaplin and Margaret Rutherford starring all led up to a big pot of nothing memorable.  Well, the love theme was memorable, outside of the movie when sung by Miss Petula Clark.  On the other hand, Miss Loren looked lovely in almost every frame she was in. . .
