I have arrived both safe and sound and sound and safe and am ensconced in the Hampton Inn.  We had a little hiccup when I checked in - when I booked the room, the reservations person said I was lucky, getting the last King.  I told him that I would never take a room with double beds so that was good.  But they had me in a room with double beds and told me they were sold out.  Im nothing if not intractable, and when she saw that I was being very nice but very obstinate, she found me a King.  So, all's well.

Lar, we got the CDs today. Thanks. I can sit and listen to Venus over the next 5 days. We're listening to the Jubilee highlights right now.

The second part of the flight was only about an hour and forty minutes - they gave us a turkey slice and cheese chunks for our snack.  So, I'm really not going to eat much more this evening.  The Hampton Inn has no restaurant, so if I want something I suppose I'll have to go out and take a walk - the weather is quite lovely.  And at the height of rush hour there were no cars to be seen.  There are several malls nearby and a diner just a block or so up the street, so I'll go check out the lay of the land and also the land of the lay and figure out my plan.  I don't think Linda will be dining out, given her broken ankle, and Gregory doesn't get in until late.

That was speedy!

DR Ben, tomorrow I will be at City Center most of the day. I won't be able to post any information when Anthony calls me until I get home around 4pm.

Went to the local 7-11 and got some waters.  Looked at the diner menu and they have a chicken salad sandwich, so I'll probably mosey on over there around seven-thirty.  The only other options are a Mexican jernt (if I hadn't eaten the plane junk I might) and a Subway, which I'm REALLY not in the mood for.

Tuesday morning greetings!  I have a day of house prep today, because it's been decided that my cousin from Japan and his 7-year-old son will stay with us when they arrive tomorrow.  They may eventually move into my aunt's house (my cousin's mom), but it needs some attention and I want him to see the condition in which she left it last Friday.

That bad?

Well, that explains why so many people call Oregon, Oree'gone.

Oregonians pronounce it Orah'gun, and many of them get quite riled if it is pronouned any other way.

Well, this Oregonian doesn't get riled about it...I couldn't care less how it is pronounced.

LOL.  We called it Or e gone prior to moving here.  Personally I think it sound prettier.  I call it Or e gun now.  You are telling me I still don't pronounce it correctly ;D

BK, you really must take a trip sometime to someplace other than New York, where you stay longer than a day or two.  One day in Florida and most of it will be in a rehearsal room?

I completely agree with you!!!!

Gosh, just like my almost disaster with Yogi yesterday ;)
Has poor Yogi been forced to enure Tofu?

der Brucer

Nope, I kept it from him.  Actually Yogi is a delicate eater & doesn't take everything offered to him.  He does follow all food constantly which is funny.  He is an extremely agile active dog, very different from our big lazy calm boy.

I just heard from the hospital and I'm schedule to be admitted at 8:30. I have to fill out paperwork and then get prepped so I'm assuming it will start around 9 or 9:30 (I may be wildy optimistic here). I don't know how long it takes or how long I'll be under (I see the anesthesiologist after the paperwork). Anthony will contact Larry when things are done and he can report to you all.

I'm guessing the surgery won't take more than an hour.  Don't forget to ask for a warm blanket if you get cold waiting to be put out, and don't let them begin the anesthetic until you see and speak to the surgeon.  They can wait as it only takes seconds.

Well, my schedule tomorrow may not be at City Center! Joshie says there's little to do at the moment, so I'm biding my time. If I don't go to City Center, I'll hit the NYPL at noon.

Sorry about being EnT

Vibes to Ben, TD and bk!

Have not felt very socialable.. I am disappointed that the legal process that they  could not see past the veil lies that a person was hiding behind. Unemployment process has been a nightmare.

I am losing faith in the justice system and in some people.
