I was very shocked to read that Cilla spent yesterday doing paperwork in a bar in Nebraska!

...two house-ground brisket patties topped with sour cherry-sriracha jam and American cheese, each sandwiched between two of the (chocolate covered) Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes.

Well, she had to collect her character references from somewhere!

For some reason, burgers and chocolate seem horribly mismatched.

Unless it's a chocolate milk shake that comes "with" a burger (not a chocolate sandwich burger).

I'm not sure the peanut butter/burger pairing would be high on my list either.

He's still at work earning money with which to buy dinner ingredients.

I got home early this afternoon.  I had to go to see my doctor this morning so that he could slice open my armpit.  Yes indeed, it is the return of not one, but two MRSA attacks.  Both of them in my right armpit.  I had planned to have this procedure today, and then I was going to take tomorrow off, so that I would have five days off in a row to heal (and not to have to worry about not using deoderant on one side of my body).

Well, my co-worker, Ken (who has Fridays off) told our other co-worker that I was going to be taking Friday off.  She flipped out and said that she was not going to get stuck working alone.  So, she got her leave slip in early, and approved, so I guess I will be going to work tomorrow no matter what.

Sorry about the large type that I had up in the previous post.  I was trying to proof my spelling without going and getting my bi-focals.  All corrected now.

That is the last time you mention taking off until your time is approved!  What a shame.  Since you will be working alone you still don't need to use deodorant.

He's baaaaaack! It's been a long, but good, day. I had a good time with Joshie at Encores!, and then I had to run to an audition. In my quest for young singers for this project begun with the Herbert recordings I heard a young baritone, Kasey Marino, who sang for us "On The Street Where You Live" and "If I Loved You." I have to confer with my musical guru, Mr Hicks, but I was very happy with what I heard and I hope we can add Kasey to our roster. My next audition will be with a young comedienne I think is wonderful, and I need to set that up soon.

Ask her to type up a Help Wanted ad for the paper.

Borders Books in Oregon are not closing, or so out newspaper tells us. I am glad. Our Borders in Salem is quite a busy store.

All 3 Borders in Austin ARE closing.

Too bad.  I had a couple of successful book signings at one of the Austin stores.

I'm home, safe and sound and also sound and safe.  And tiiiiired.  And trying to catch up on Kritzerland stuff.  And I have to say the Mac Mail program is really irritating me - every time I go and then come back it takes a bloody hour for it to figure things out - you delete stuff and it pops right back up - it won't send, it just sits there like so much annoying fish.

I missed your LOL comments about your fellow passengers.

Didn't you have any gripes this trip?

Well "alone" only means alone as far as the three Federal Funding Specialists and our supervisor (who is back in NYC for the fuenral of his cousin).  I will still be surrounded by about 25 other co-workers.
