A PIECE OF MAHLER'S
« on: February 25, 2011, 12:07:29 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were like a piece of Mahler's, dense and heavy, and now it is time for you to post until the dense and heavy cows come home - they're currently listening to a piece of MOOler's.

Morning all.

I see the doctor at 1:15 for my follow-up.

That is all.

P.S. It's raining in Manhattan. It's scheduled to rain all day with heavy winds for later in the day.

Yes indeed for some reason I got DR GINNY's posts mixed up with DR CILLA LIZ's posts.....but I am glad to read the DR GINNY had a nice speaker phone visit with an author during her book club meeting.

Rain, snow, and ice this morning.  Many school delays, I am not sure what is happening with World of Wisdom, I shall await the call.

Friday morning greetings!  Winter has returned to SW Ohio and I'm up worrying about Rob's drive to the Dayton area for -wait for it - a driving class.  He's learning this weekend how to drive fire trucks and other emergency vehicles.

Good morning, all! The alarm went off at 6:30, and I decided to sleep late. Around 7 am, the neighbor above me arrived home, so I decided it was time to get out of bed.  I remember nothing of my dreams last night.

Today is a day at the NYPL: I've got work on both WHERE'S CHARLEY? and Victor Herbert, so when I get to the Theatre Collection, I'll pull catalogue numbers for the photo files for CHARLEY? and get to work on the historic newspapers site looking for birth and death dates of several people.

TOD: A DVD from Indiana, several Netflix items,
CD: Jacques Brel, Jacques Offenbach, Herbert Cello & Piano, Guy Haines, Liz Callaway
VCR: smut

DR JMK is still around - he seems to be taking a break from HHW for awhile for no precise reason.

I've been going through the posts of the person on the That's All Chat board, the disagreement with whom started the problems I've been facing this week.

He says things to me like telling me I "don't listen" but like some rare people, he seems to assume that when people don't OBEY everything he says in his unsolicited advice (and frankly I did follow about 90-95% of what he'd said), they're simply not listening.   Why do some rare people think just because they give advice, people must follow their advice or they're not listening?

This guy is about eight years younger than me, and he wasn't the owner of that chat board, so I don't understand his position.

I see that author Max Wilk has died. I knew him slightly when I worked at Drama Book Shop. His son David was a good guy; it's my memory that David owned a book distribution service called Book Dynamics. I ordered from them a lot.

I had a very long and detailed and pointless dream last night in which my mom, my sister and nephew and I went up to NYC to see a show.  We took a bus which for some reason let us off way down in the Village, which resembled San Francisco with very hilly streets and sidewalks.  As I was faced with the task of herding my family uptown, I realized that my mom and sister had disappeared into a Spanish clothing boutique and that my nephew was picking fights with street people.  Then I looked at my watch and saw that we were already an hour late for the show. (I can't remember what the show was other than it had something to do with a trumpet player.)  I woke up feeling very frustrated.

My left shoulder has been bothering me. Not sure what to do about it.  It's been bothering me slightly for a few weeks. But this monday at swimming it actually got uncomfortable.

I've tried a heating pad and icing it. But now it feels worse than before. :(

So it was your family that came in an hour late and sat in front of me at WHITE CHRISTMAS?

Sorry about that, DR Elmore.  I should have switched over to a lucid dream state and taken control over the situation.
