I went out to photograph wildflowers, but there really aren't any this year.

TOD:

Netflix just sent me a copy of EVENING PRIMROSE.  I just can't keep up with all the releases--I'm still trying to catch up with movies I meant to see YEARS ago! Also have a Fritz Lang documentary that came the other day.

There should be lots of wildflowers in California this year, Laura. We've had lots of rain. Planning a trip?

BTW, I discovered the limits of the Netflix queue. I tried to add something a few weeks ago and got an error message. The limit is 500. Of course, I have over 100 items in my "instant" (streaming video) queue, too.

Jose, I meant to wish you moving vibes, but am glad to see your move went smoothly. Moves are never easy. I was quite impressed with the "moving taxi." (Don't all taxis move? Not when they're stuck in traffic.)

Not any time soon, Jeanne.

We had two rains in February, but not enough during the December and January when the seeds would have sprouted.

An update on my friend who needs the roto-rooter surgery:
It was scheduled for last Monday. My friend had difficulty learning what time he should show up, as hospital staff either didn't know or wouldn't say. After repeated efforts, he learned it was 6 am. He arranged for a friend to drive him to the hospital. He arrived on time, went through all the hoops, and spoke to numerous personnel. He was repeatedly asked about his extreme hoarseness--he had virtually no voice. Each time he explained that it came on when he began the medicine they'd prescribed for him (which he had since stopped taking). Each time they responded with, "You should be OK." He was in a hospital gown (a euphemism, don't you think?) when the anesthesiologist came in, heard him, checked his chest, and nixed the operation due to bronchitis! The operation was postponed for a month. Don't you think someone should have caught this sooner??

Listening to another upcoming release - it was released on CD in the 1980s but has been out of print for over fifteen years now.  I never liked the CD and now I know why - the sequencing is awful and has nothing to do with how the music is actually used in the film.  I recently watched it and even the track titles tell you what the proper order should be and so I've rearranged it in something resembling film sequence (not possible to do, really, because there's about thirty minutes of missing music - which no one seems to have - even though our CD will be close to 65 minutes long as it is, with the inclusion of a couple of bonus tracks.

Looking forward to a new version of "Carnival" (at least new to me). Always liked Merrill's music and lyrics.

I have 88 items in my streaming queue (19 more are saved, but not available), but almost 200 DVDs in my regular queue.  I have a Blu-ray player, but I'm not paying the extra $2 to get Blu-ray discs...yet.

Yesterday I was wearing green...today I am wearing yellow and blue, for no particular reason.

Keith pointed out the fact that I wore green yesterday without thinking about it.  The bruises on my thigh are green.

I decided I was tired of waiting for my movie passes so I called the corporate office again this morning.  I got a human who told me that she was the person who makes the passes and mails them out and no one has told her who won the pass or where to send it.
::)

She took my name and address and said she will mail it today and it should arrive tomorrow.  She also said she'll make it valid until March 31, 2012.

Finally & good for her for including the entire month!

Just make sure that you put the title of the CD in the subject line...that's very important.
